I don’t know. I’m not a part of management. But is $3.8 million spending to the cap?

Becoming a Cap team is cumulative over a number of seasons. As of right now, if they sign Hayes, we're looking at being within 3-4M of the Upper Limit. If it winds up at 83M like projected. Less if it is less.

Or is it more plausible they looked at the train wreck that was their defense last year and wanted to bring in veterans to help? Kinda like what they want to do with their goaltending.

Growing pains of young players. There is no doubt that they improved the team. The question is that the only goal? Young players can't get better if they don't play. Niskanen was enough to provide that help in my opinion.

I don’t love the trade, but I just don’t get people around here. It’s (frank)ing pathetic. Cry about everything and act all high and mighty. You’re commenting on a hockey website, you have no (frank)ing idea what the Flyers are thinking.

So all the times you criticized the Flyers, we can apply the same train of thought? If knowing that the Flyers are thinking is the criteria for being able to post, we can all stop now.

Braun and niskanen made us better. Both are top 40 in every defensive statistic in every one of the last 3 seasons. Both great PK. Both are hard to win puck battles against. Both are vocal guys and bring tons of playoff experience including playing in the cup.

I dont like the cost of either trade. I felt like we didnt negotiate from the position of strength which is what we had. However we gave up 0 parts of our future and got better today.

I expect more to come. Waiting and seeing

True we didn't give up our future, but they didn't add to the future either. It's been my only bugaboo about these 2 trades. Neither move the meter for me.

2nd and 3rd for a top 4 dman that can slide anywhere in the lineup, yeah huge overpayment

2nd and 3rds are very rarely going to turn into a top 4 dman. Sorry
