So Hayes might be getting 6.5 mil per season and he has never cracked 50 points.....Nuge has to be celebrating somewhere
- RatedR80

I’d expect Nuge to get around 7.25 on his next deal.

It’s because he’s a bad GM.
- RafiDRW

I can’t poop on Chevy too much. He’s built a solid (frank)ing squad out east, and his good trades far outnumber his bad ones.

Unless the lockout happens before then and puts a damper on the inflation of contracts.

I’m sure he will at this rate and he deserves it given the way the market is

It makes no sense and Broberg at 8th is too high....if they are going to draft him they could easily trade down and still get him.....seems Edmonton media are also picking us to get Broberg at 8th so where there is smoke perhaps? If they do draft Broberg I wouldn’t be surprised to see a LHD moved

Some reports that the cap might not be 83 mil as projected earlier....that would make things interesting

I really (frank)ing hope we don’t get another lockout. Season is short enough as it is.

We will. Have the last three negotiations. (frank)ing sucks.

I’d do Larsson, Puljujarvi and the 8th for Ehlers and the 20th.
- Wildschwein

Take out the 8th and I'd do it.

So I can now take Dach and Broberg off my list of desired players

Lot of Wings’ fans arguing for Dach.

But they don't anymore. They got that for Trouba because he forced their hand and reportedly only gave them a couple teams he would sign with. Ehlers is neither asking out nor limiting their options. Remember how after the Hall trade we got bombarded with "haha, Gardiner 4 McDavid"? Well, as with those idiots back then, it's dumb to impose the result of one trade a team makes on every future trade.

They have 25mil to sign Connor, Laine and Copp and add a one or two top-4 D- depending on how they feel about Pionk as a 2RD.

- MaximumBone

Trouba doesn't have a no trade/movement clause and he hasn't committed to signing with the Rangers. He has said he could see himself being there long term but no guarantees.

I think teams knew that the Jets had to move him and made offers accordingly. Kinda like what happened to us with Hall.

So you expect Winnipeg to pony up a 1st round pick and a 70 point winger (on a sweetheart deal no less), for Larsson and a struggling prospect?

I think Cozens, Boldy, and Zegras would all be nice additions to the prospect pool.

Probably accurate. Precisely why Ehlers won't be like that. He's already signed and hasn't requested a trade. He's being dangled for them to rebuild their D depth with the exit of Trouba and (likely/hopefully) Myers.

On a down year where he only played 62 games, some of them hurt.

Ehlers has all the tools to be a 70 point winger, and he was knocking on that door the two years prior to last.

I stand by my assessment.

If we stay at 8 then yes I would rather have those guys then Broberg or Dach....then draft either Kolyachonok or Keppen in the 2nd

See, the odd thing is I had no thought that we'd even be considering the possibility of taking a Dman with the 1st so I did next to no research on those available. For me, it was Byram or a forward. I've now gotta dig into what little game tape I can find and try to determine who I like more. So far, I like Heinola most.

We could call Lucic a 55 point winger using that logic
