Thats how I see it too. Trouba's wanted out of Peg for some time now and with only one year of term on his deal it isnt about what you give up to get him, but how much of a problem your new shiny toy creates by not wanting to sign.

don't forget skinner waived to come to buffalo, and one would think that botts had a pretty good indication that he'd re-sign...

Trouba is a gamble...yes they could flip him, but not sure they need turnover like that

Agreed, but offer sheets are fiction. Trouba has been in control of this since the beginning and he made it clear where he wanted to sign. What is curious is that the Jets agreed to trade him there for less than his worth (and apparently less than what others offered).
