Nobody hated Kostka or Lebda.

Hell, I couldn't pick them out of a police lineup.

Or he has a number of spectacular trades already worked out, and he's just waiting to announce them because he doesn't want to steal the thunder of his corporate brothers, the Raptors.

That's totally what I think.

- Atomic Wedgie

It would not surprise me if a couple things are worked out in principle but they are waiting until after July 1.

Technically speaking, you don't have to run away fast from Myers.

People were talking about back-up goalies the other day and nobody mentioned Cam Talbot.

Not sure a team would want him as a starter after his last two years in Edmonton but people forget that he was a pretty good goalie when he played less than 40 games. And maybe he'll take a 1 year deal to rebuild his value.

If the Leafs can get Talbot at 1 million or less and he plays 30 games, that could become a steal and probably a significant upgrade over than Sparks.

If you mean Marleau and Zaitsev, and by "after July 1st" you mean "after they pay out the signing bonuses" - then I pray to Glimour you are right.

How do we feel about Hutchinson?

Umm.. I mentioned Cam Talbot?
I think he'd do well here, if he came on the cheap.

I'd take Talbot's career .915 SV% (with twice as many games) over Hutchinson .908 SV%.

Could also be Nylander.

How big is the add to unload Marleau... Is it Kapanen or Johnsson or can we get away with a 3rd round pick or a prospect not name Bracco?

Zaitsev, I feel like we might luck out, tough to tell.

meh, but better than Sparks, who just seems to have a really punchable face, like Marchand, McAvoy and Eichel.

Like I said, nobody.

I didn't see you mention him.

He's from here, maybe he'd do it.

Considering the D is going to be weak and Andersen is the one who suffers most from that, having a guy who can play 30 games would be great. Worked well for Rask and Binnington this year.

He will be signed I think for more than we expect.

I think it is going to be KasiSucko.

Talbot would be an excellent choice as a backup goalie. I would like him here..
Issue is, does he want another $4M per year deal? If so, will he get it?

Oilers gave him $4M right? It wouldn't surprise me if another team did as well..

They gave it to him hoping he'd be the goalie of the future after his backup stint behind Lundqvist. Different situation. Now he's a broken "starter" on the decline.

I wonder what it would take to bring back MakeASavey.
