Very true. I use my list til post draft teams speak of their own. What i see & want from a prospect differs from many ppl.

This discussion came up last season and the season before, at this time of year, pretty sure we all understand what BPA means, not sure why it needs to be explained every year.šŸ˜

I believe and I think we discussed this before, that Seider is the 2nd best defenseman, in this draft.
Been watching and reading a bunch on Newhook over the past 2 months, I can see why you have him at 7th, kid is going to be a nice player.

We have & I rank him there too (mostly because Iā€™m very underwhelmed by the rest of the defensive prospects discussed as first & early second rounders).

Kind of regret hyping him up so much tbh because I think heā€™s become a taaaaaad overrated. I actually get a little scared when overachieving prospects test really well in aerobic stamina. Endurance can make guys look & perform better than they really are (at lower/amateur levels). When it comes to NHL fitness his percentile in that department wonā€™t give him the same advantage. I still like him as a prospect, but his development as a high end pick is no sure thing - one of the riskier options IMO with a ceiling that might not be as high as I used to think.

Raw skill determination & work ethic are attributes i look for. Conditioning anyone can do & can be a false indicator or red herring. Hockey IQ tops my check list for importance. To think faster than other players is a huge advantage. Stone.

Give me a highly motivated driven player & the rest falls into place more often than not. Not the other way around. Newhook fits my description & Krebs & others.

You hope he's Colton Parayko but he might be Robert Bortuzzo?

Interesting analysis. Never really thought about that before, but, also liked this kid before the combine, which I have never given much credibility to, for the purpose of drafting.

The only reason I care about the combine is to see which high IQ players produced despite poor fitness & which low IQ players might have produced more because of a fitness advantage. For example, Cozens was already my poster boy for the latter & the combine confirmed it for me. Iā€™m much lower on him than everyone else seems to be.

Holy poop, I can now see why the Flyers thread was so chaotic earlier today.
They still have 3 important RFA's to sign, Konecny, Sanheim and Provorov.

Yes you seem to be, but, I am higher on Lavoie, than most appear to be, personal preferencesor different ways of evaluating our BPA's.

Hayes is a C, so he gets a $ bump, but yeah, Boeser is going to get paid.

They should take it out on their GM for overpaying Tavares and then Matthews, I feel so bad for Toronto.

I know this is a typo, but you should totally make up a definition for this and try to use it in Scrabble.

Rumours were that Philly wasn't the highest on his list of places to play. Boston and NYR topped the list. Clearly Philly had to overpay to keep him.
