Get a #1 Center and have a 2A and 2B center, and mix and match around that.

I wonder, because EK signed, does that mean rangers make even more of an effort to get Trouba now? You’d have to assume they were gonna offer him something. I’m liking Trouba a lil more, but I’m afraid to give up to much for him

Carp has been saying from day 1 that the Rangers had no interest in Karlsson and were never going to have it, so I am not sure Karlsson's staying in San Jose effects the Rangers Trouba interest either way

I don’t think they ever had interest in EK.

If it makes you feel better, I don't believe for one single second that the Islanders are actually in on Trouba. If anything they're just feigning interest to try and drive up the price for the Rangers and Devils...but I think even that is a little bit of a stretch.

Seconded. The nice thing about Vegas is they are so up against the cap that you possibly could get it done with just picks and prospects.

Him to the Isles does seem a lil odd. They really don’t even need him

You’d have to give a first probably and then-some for both him and Trouba, but the then-some for Willy would be less then Troubas imo. And I think Karlsson would be the perfect piece for this rebuild. He does alot on the ice, he’d probably immediately be there best two way forward, and 2C

I think 2C is the most individual pressing need on this team too. Yeah, the D needs to get better, but we hope we already have the pieces in here to make that happen.

I agree 100%, and I think we’re in the minority which surprises me

If you told me by July 1st they got Paranin and Willy Karlsson, w/Kakko, oh man I may go get season tix!

I mean everyone needs a top pairing RHD, but given the fact that Pulock is really good too, Boychuk isn't going anywhere and that they have Dobson/Wilde waiting in the wings...it seems unlikely they'd pay a fortune for him. Isles will be better suited using their assets to get scoring help, not a high-priced d-man

Don’t expect Jimmy Vesey to be wearing a Rangers uni when the 2019-20 season kicks off.

Ranger fans will miss him once he's gone. He's not a star, but he's alot better than what people made him out to be. About a 30 point per year average isn't sitting the world on fire, but it's better than more players than you think.

Don't disagree but given the influx of talent coming, if they can get a decent asset for him now before he's a UFA they may as well maximize his value. He's probably not worth giving a raise to next summer when he's 27 and has leverage so (assuming they get something decent back) I don't think it's too crazy to move him

He had that 1 great year, what do you do with Chytil Andersson Howden then? I think Strome is our answer at 2C for now until we see what we have in these young guys.

I don't disagree with any of that. I just think it's shocking how little people think of Vesey. There's a strong contingent of people who defend guys like Pionk, Vesey is way more consistent than Pionk ever was.

You have this worry that I’ll never understand, centers are always needed and you can never have enough of them. Those guys aren’t labeled definitely centers by me either, they’re versatile you can play on the wing. I’d think one of Lias or Howden would be going for Karlsson anyway, so it’s even less of an issue probably

20, howden or Lias, and maybe another piece for Karlsson, is something I could see happening. Vegas is gonna lose someone pretty good

Chytil might be on the wing for good. Andersson and Howden might still have potential to do something, but let's not pretend they've shown a ton so far. Willie might have only had the one exceptional year, but getting north of 50 last year isn't anything to sneeze at. He's a legit 2C on a team that needs one. If the above show more than what they've shown so far, you deal with that good problem then.[/img]

I don’t really like either guy lol. I’m just tired of seeing Vesey, that’s why I wouldn’t miss him. He’s a fine hockey player, but I’ll be ok if he’s gone
