Laine scored 30 goals last year 24 of which came before mid January. So 6 goals for February and March. Hmmm

Well I can tell you 11 and Voracek ain't getting it done.

Are we taking pennies on the dollar for Ghost? Then why should they with Liane?

Don’t get me wrong you’re absolutely correct. Teams would be buying potential though. I count myself in the minority of fans who don’t think Voracek + Voracek contract would bring back significant value.

Provy seems carefree about his contract lol. Dude has been eating ice cream and chocolate at the beach with his lady this past week on her instagram. Was in Mexico week or so before.

You think Ghost and 11 would get you Seguin? Not a lot of impact players I see being available but I think Dallas seems like they'd be open to change.
- hereticpride

I only think that’s a start but I would target one of Seguin or Benn.

Flyers got a better defenseman. How is it unnecessary? The dead cap space is just for this season for Gudas. AMac is until end of next season. They still have plenty of room to sign their RFAs and make additions.

Niskanen is three years older than Gudas. I’m expecting Niskanen and his 5.75 million to be a mistake before his deal is done.

Moose is not the answer. Need someone who can stay healthy. I like Moose but the Flyers need to explore better options. I’m sure they don’t want to pay much for a back up.

I just don't see many big names being available this summer in trade but who knows maybe some team will get anxious and sell sell sell.

Fletcher traded for his rights so he knows before the draft whether or not he could fill the 2C position with Hayes. If Hayes doesn’t want to sign then he knows he has to trade for another center. The draft is one of the prime trading days of the year.

Then you are flat out wrong. He is what 32? He has 2 years left. Dmen dont die at 34. Chara is still going strong past 40.

Hoping we steer clear of Broberg. I get the size and skating ability but I don’t think you can take a dman this high with such a questionable offensive game. Steer clear

Newhook, Krebs if he falls, Soderstrom I wouldn’t be upset with.

I am leaning towards Krebs if he falls. He would be difficult to overlook

A $6.5-7 million contract for Kevin Hayes places him in the top 75 players in the NHL according to contract terms and AAV....Is he one of the Top 75 players? Nope. Doesn't deserve that money. There are other options out there to score 20-25 goals in a season.

All he needs to be is a serviceable vet that can play in the top 6 while these kids mature a bit. I don't think he's going to be much of an issue.

Sure as hell an upgrade over AMac.

In two years that won't be a top 75 contract. Weren't we freaking out about G and Jake's cap hit when they signed them? It's the same deal whenever anyone signs a contract. The cap keeps going up. 6.5 is fine to me.

6.5 is still a lot. He doesnt deserve more than Brock Nelson.

Would you rather I make a list of all the good Dmen over the age of 34? Not sure how its relevant. A players skill is not relevant to how long their body can hold up. Niskanen is not an overly physical Dmen. There is no reason to expect him to decline.

He might not. But at least they're find out now and not hamstringing themselves from making any moves at the draft.

That's not really how it works. If you take all 75 players and give them UFA status then where would he rank? Also comparing players that signed their contracts when? How many years ago? The market escalates. UFA's get overpaid.
