There is no confusion. The things you listed absolutely decline for most players over the course of a typical NHL career. - MJL
This is where you should provide something that illustrates that point. Data, anecdotal, or otherwise. |

Hmmmm, such a simple and obvious thing doesn't need to be illustrated. If you watch Hockey or any other sport, it's clearly evident. By the way, I already did that. Pay better attention.

6/10 of the assist leaders this year were in their 30's.
If you look at individual yearly shooting stats, SH% doesn't follow any kind of regular decline with age. In fact, Filpulla and Pavelski are old as poop, and they both managed to shoot over 20% this past season. Lecavalier recorded his highest SH% in his final year in LA. The examples go on and on. |

Of course out of over 600 hockey players that play in the NHL every season, there are no examples of the opposite? Again, you're being disingenuous.
Now if we were talking about Filpulla, what would you say about that 20% shooting percentage? LOL

Look in the mirror. Make an honest evaluation that is consistent with your past. I'm blown away that you used Filpulla and his shooting percentage this season. Actually very funny.

LOL. You missed it.
Very simple. If we were having a discussion on Filpulla this past season and I said to you, he had a good offensive season, his shooting percentage was 21%. What would be your reply? |

My own personal story is this. I used to be able to juggle a soccer ball for as long as I cared to keep going. The longest I ever went was over ten minutes.
Now, my brain still says I can do it, but I'm lucky to make 5 bounces in a row before the ball goes flying off.
getting old sucks.

Nah, big words aren't necessary. Especially when refuting statement such as the Flyers have a surplus of top 4 NHL defenseman.

Thats because you lack faith in our players. They have a lot of talent in their group. Maybe I did overestimate Gudas based on last season we will need to wait and see. |
