Having Hart is net doesn’t automatically make us a contender, even if he has a full healthy season.
I thought Hayes wasn’t signing and already knew where he wanted to go. - SuperSchennBros
I don't think Hart alone makes them a Cup contender. However, I do think even NHL average goaltending and/or not having Provorov and Ghost forget how to play hockey makes them a playoff team.
Hayes may or may not work out, and Jamie Benn the 5th rounder is gone at this point, so it is what it is, but I'm not going to use the lost 5th round pick as a mistake this team will regret for decades to come. |

If you're going to use statements like that to support your point as you yourself stated, then yes you do need to prove it. Otherwise it doesn't help your point. |

Randy Jones? - corduroy
Hey, he had that time when he was...not completely terrible.
Actually, my lasting impression of Randy Jones came from 05/06. It was late in a game they were losing (Rangers, I think) and he's in the Flyers' zone and both teams are going for a change...there is literally no one within 40 feet of him, and he throws a beautiful cross-ice pass to absolutely no one. Everyone on the Flyers coming off the bench were heading the other way and none of the Rangers had come close to the blue line. He had so much room that he just skated over to it and passed to a teammate, but that play will always be "This is who Randy Jones is," to me. |

Because im really good skill wise my problem is lack of size and endurance. Because i lack muscle, i lose board battles and because im in average shape battles typically tire me out quick. That also attributes to me having issues with faster players
I have a good shot, i make good passes, i make quick decisions with the puck, im good at killing penalties and good at draws.
I even played against Ryan Ellis before he was in the NHL in a provincial tournament in Oshawa Ontario. We lost in OT. I was still in highschool at that time. Had to have been 12-15 years ago - xShoot4WarAmpsx

Did you absolutely crush high school hockey? Saying you have/had AHL skill is insane. I know guys that played D1 college hockey and bounced around in the coast, the AHL is not easy in the slightest bit to make. |

My cousin was recruited out of Delaware and given a full ride to the Canterbury school in Connecticut. Lots of famous people went there including JFK. Had many scholarships to hockey programs, nothing like Boston college or Michigan but some decent universities. He’s 6’3” a good skater, played a 2 way game.
Point is he had a few concussions and knew he would likely never rise out of the minors. He played against Provorov also. So he decided instead of chasing hockey as a career he would keep his brain intact and become a lawyer. He is interning now and has moved on from Hockey. So I believe the guy. A lot of people have the skill to make it to AHL but know they aren’t destined for much more so they decide to move on. AHL hockey doesn’t pay well. |
