One of these guys will be a Habs by the end of the week.
At least I hope so. - Scabeh
Size issues obviously but if he falls there's something about a scorer like Caufield...5'7" is short...but it may stop people female doging about the Cat in Chicago...ok it won't but still |

I really don't see him falling to #15... but I guess nothing is impossible. |

I just can't pass on a guy of Kaliyev's talent.
That's the kind of thing you regret until the end of times.
I'd be more than fine with York but I suspect him to go higher than everyone thinks. Everyone seems to like him alot yet he'd fall to #15?
Edit: And maybe by some Miracle Broberg falls. |

Habs don't need another lazy Russian, inconsistent French guy or soft passer. |

Kovalev was considered "lazy". Yet he was awesome.
51 goals, 102 points in 62 games.
Can't pass that up. |

Points in junior aren't everything to look at. Lots of scouts have doubts on him for a reason. |

Anyone think that MB will grow a pair and make a move to move up in the draft? |

Lots of scouts had doubts about Claude Giroux. They probably had reasons.
I'm not saying he's a sure thing, I'm not saying he's perfect.
I'm saying I'd pick the hell out of him. |

You can complain on alot of things about Bergevin's work as GM.
But "lack of balls" to make big moves is not one of them imo. |

Maybe if they have a hard on for somebody, but I think the other way around is more likely
Trade the pick away or down for a D |

Picking 17 year olds and projecting them as 25 year olds is tough |

Not historically at the draft. I was thinking the same thing as i was typing it....but that's particularly in trades.....not on the draft floor. |

Takes 2 to tango. Remember apparently Pulij-whatever his name is falling to Edmonton is the reason PK went to Nashville. They couldn't pass on the value and MTL wantes Dubois |

I'd be very surprised to see all these dmen fall down like that. - fidopro
The last few years did see teams picking centremen very early.
Last year, KK went earlier than most predicted and Phoenix picked a guy that was ranked like 12th of most list at number 6. |

Me too, Broberg will likely go before that, maybe York and Seider as well. If that happens, maybe Habs will be able to get Krebs, Newhook or Caufield...would be nice. |
