So he's a 3rd line C.... no PP time, more valuable on the PK, good +/- , reliable on face offs and can barely score, a good 3rd line C

I'd say an excellent 3C, who can fill in as 2C.

look around the league, how many 2Cs had more ES points than him?

I count 5 or so. Matthews, Couture, Kutnezsov, Krejci, Reinhart...

Like nut said, can't compare it to other 3rd line C, those guys were not getting top 6 minutes and very little PP time also and they sure as sh!t didn't play with 33 and 25 goal scoring wingers like Danault did all year and those 2 guys were putting pucks in nets way before Danault was playing with them.... and you keep making a point to mention the no PP time, which in my eyes, solidifies my point more than yours.... dead last in the league all year and never thought to put Danault out there? Why do you suppose that is?

you gonna blame the player for this?!?

Danault played as a 2C last year, so I compared him with other 2Cs around the league.
I only found 5 or 6 who had more ES points. and you're telling me he's not a 2C?

This is the most retarded conversation on these boards, and that is saying a lot given the poop that has been posted around here.

My presence helps solidify your stupidity?

I am sure you can manage that on your own, but happy to help point it out.

Nah. No conversation on here, regardless of the quality, is complete without your posts which always need to be written in absolutes and filled with hyperbole. This isn't hfboards.

Gotta say I loved the Domi trade when it happened (watched him a lot in junior) and even though I did not mind Chucky I knew Domi would be a fit in Montreal. Although the 72 point season was more than I expected for sure I was hoping for 60 points. I hope he keeps that north of 70 points for next season. On the Drouin trade I thought Drouin would make more of a scoring impact than he has in the 2 seasons he has been with Montreal. I did not mind the trade at the time but worried about a stud D man on an entry level contract going the other way. I am sure MS would not have put up the points he has if he stayed in MTL but he is still a stud D man and I guess it is one of those trades where something of value has to be given to address a need (no #1 C at the time) Here is hoping JD has a more consistent season next year.

Domi is a breath of fresh air compared to Galchensuck (Chucky) ... Domi brings his A game every night while the other guy is still barely making the lineup in Coyoteville. Bergevin should be charged with larceny.

As for Drouin, I would trade him while he still has value, he seems to be made of the same defective material as Chucky is ... great raw physical talent but nobody upstairs to drive the engine. Perimeter players are a dime a dozen (ie. Lehkonen).

Seriously, I just can't imagine seeing Drouin busting his ass like the Blues did during the playoffs ... but that's the kind of players you need to win a Cup!
