Ive never seen so much excitement from all over the country compared to what im seeing now with the raps.

Bigger than anything the leafs could do.

Raptors and Jays will get that country-wide support. The rest of Canada forgets "Toronto" on the jerseys. Leafs are seen differently obviously with 7 Canadian NHL teams.

Jays were huge in 2015, 16. But yeah, this is a game changer in our country towards basketball. It will be seen for years to come in terms of popularity and development.

What's funny is because there's only 1 Canadian NBA team, the announcers on TSN are allowed to be such incredible homers for the Raptors. If the Leafs get 1 single compliment people freak-out.

The tv crew are blowing the Raptors every game. Jack Armstrong thinks every call against them they were robbed.

The jays first win was huge. But the GTA has pretty much tripled in size from like 3m to closer to 9m today. That's why it may seem bigger. That and well, everyone has smart phones now. And we actually have huge t.v. screens where people can gather.

went to a raptors games (vs bulls) approx 7-8 years ago.
holy moly what a boring sports.
fans got most excited that game by raps potentially scoring 100+ points - which would mean they would get a free slice of pizza next day by some company.
so last 5mins of game, the crowd got into it, cheering 'pizza, pizza!'.
i guess a lot of things can change.

at least in hockey you can be 5ft6 and still be in the nhl - that's out of the question in nba. the mere 'virtue' of being 7ft tall can guarantee you a shot at nba.
