He's a great player at a good age that plays a game that won't deteriorate like a power forward or an average skater.

He may be earning more money than preferable (Evolving Hockey predicted his worth at 8.7x8) but the value he brings and the larger than preferred contract greatly outweighs his absence. So today, I, and hopefully we all, are happy.

I will be happy if Jeff averages 30-35 goals and 60-65 points on the top line. If buffalo did not give him 9 there would have been plenty of others teams that would of.
