Outsider here....who the hell would want Quick. He used to be good ....and still is when NOT injured. However he is ALWAYS injured. Way to much of a liability this late in his career.

Well, teams who need a goalie or worse case at the deadline. One thing Quick has always been known for was his amazing play in big games like playoffs. If the Kings eat up some of the contract then it definitely could happen. There were talks of teams kicking the tires on him this past trade deadline. I don't except any good return. I would be happy with a conditional 5th or the lowest possible pick you can get.

Even with his injuries, age and contract (which can be made to be a little better if LA eats some money, etc.), I think he can be interesting to some teams. Maybe if he's willing to transition into more of a mentor role or split time, it could be even more appealing?

Im not going to suggest he nets some huge return. But Quick is very much of interest to a team who desperately needs a goalie. His numbers have always been good. This past season his numbers are bad. But the entire team was bad.

Depends on how much they believe in Mrazik or however you spell it. But its an option. So would Buffalo.

Kopitar is a top 5 centerman and top 3 defensive centerman in the league, why would you trade that?

He is not a top 5 centerman. Top 3 2 way center yes. I would trade him because of his insane contract. Not only that, the Kings are in no shape close to competing for a Cup anytime soon. Kopitar doesn't have the speed to back off defenseman which the Kings lack in their top 6 and he doesn't make players around him better. No doubt he is a great player, but how many LW and RW has he played with? Kopitar would be a #2 center on most (if not all) of those teams who made the playoffs and even on some that didn't.

I love Kopitar and he is my favorite player on the current Kings, but that salary and needing a rebuild, I feel it would be best to trade him, if any team would even take on that contract.

While I cant argue about his speed, or lack thereof, I think he absolutely makes players around him better. Brown is not the answer and Kovi didn't get much of a chance to gel. Iafollo is better with Kopi. Lewis is better with Kopi. anyone that can play without the puck will be better with Kopi. And I don't buy that he'd be 2C on very many teams, even those that made the playoffs. speed is one component, but not everything.
