Zegras was buoyed by his combine interview with the Canucks and expects to meet with them here before the draft.

“It was awesome because it was more personable,” he said. “They wanted to get to know me better and I got a really good feeling from them. They wanted to know what I knew about the team and I said I love watching Pettersson and that was a question that maybe sparked something (Canucks’ interest) in my head. But who knows? They kind of keep things close to their chests.”

Remember how amusing it was watching Gudbranson attempt to make a breakout pass.

Zaisev is just as bad.

Alright then you’re just an idiot then. Perimeter players dont score the majority of their goals net front.

Hearing the news that Vancouver is interested is sooooo frustrating

He excels at nothing
he turns the pucks over at an alarming rate (2nd on the leafs) behind Rielly top 15 in the league for dmen, but without the offense all those other guys provide, so he turns it over really for no reason.
He doesnt take the puck away and is worst on the leafs
He bleeds scoring chances against,
he is the worst player on the leafs at getting the puck out of his own zone.

I would ask for something astronomical to take him on for 5 more years.

What about his rookie year? He was excellent. He also had brutal deployment this season. Could be a good buy low situation if the leafs throw in an asset

Agreed, I'm stoked Benning is kicking tires. I doubt he will pull off anything amazing but these are the type of moves that the asset mgmt crowd have been asking for since he started.

His deployment 5v5 is not that bad.
42% offense 58% defense.

beagle has brutal deployment, not Nikita Sucksev

Who's the other?

I think it's going to be hard to pick a lemon at 10, it looks like a solid group in that range.

Yeah. Not worried about the draft, it’s july 1 that scares the crap out of me.

I would take him as long as the asset that comes with him is good.

Kadri, Zaitsev and Bracco
For
JV and Tanev.
