If it were up to me:

Hughes Tanev (I think they thrive as a pairing & corsi helps Tanev stay healthy)
Rathbone C.Miller (acquired in OJ trade at the draft)
Tryamkin Stecher

Flag away. His time here was an organizational failure. A lot either lost in translation or just omitted due to a lack of proper communication between staff and talent. Perfect example of why this franchise sucks ass.

I could live with trying that out.

He has been questionable in the KHL as well. He was also a healthy scratch several times last season, too. He can stay in Russia and continue sucking on his mommy's tit.

Bring him (and his mommy’s tits if necessary) out here for a proper look with the right support. If it doesn’t work it doesn’t work... but that size & mobility is worth another shot. Guys like that are often late bloomers & he’s still only 24.

This franchise does indeed suck ass but not because of their handling of the massive p$ssy. He was despised in the room and was a complete b$tch

Hey if he is willing to come on hockey buzz and admit he was a giant b!tch and then also publicly apologize to everyone in the locker room for being the largest beta in history? I’d welcome him back

How does a person who grew up in a locker room environment not understand the importance of getting along with your fellow teammates?

Is that a narrative or a known?

I’d start with a return in top shape & said he wasn’t ready would be enough.

A former canucks coach told me this. I’ve also asked a few players since. Perhaps some of the issues were due to communication problems? No idea. But I do know he wasn’t happy he wasn’t getting top pairing minutes and the team didn’t respect him for being soft as (frank). Apparently he would cry on the bench after slashes all the time lol

Well then, tree is a (frank)ing idiot. He’s got to understand that he’s burnt that bridge and there is no return as long as this management group is in charge.

lol. TBH after a few hits and hacks I’ve seen this season I’d be crying too. Their tolerance for pain is unreal.

My neighbor smokes weed on the balcony . All you hear from the old (frank) is him coughing up phlegm balls.

Stinks like piss.

I try to give him payback by having my wife cook her nasty Filipino food on the Bar B Q

Don’t know if you guys remember when Morrison lost his front four playing the red wings. Trainer picking chicklets off the ice.

Shanny was in a bad mood and took it out on Mo. Took the blade of his stick and carved them out.

Mo went to the room and then came out and played the rest of the game. My god that must of hurt.

On goal scorers i break it down to snipers & finishers. Eg Brock & EP would be snipers & Bo a finisher. With more playmakers which we lack a great deal i’d say more finishing would happen. Opportunists tend to rise from anywhere if someone drives the play where we only have EP. Add to that our D isn’t good at creating offence which stymies scoring greatly. Hughes will change this but another D would create more depth & balance for overall gains. Panarin is an immediate injection of flow & playmaking. EK on D would also be just that but he’s not getting much luv here & probably has priced himself out if here given ppl’s views. Given we are short on playmakers the opportunists are not as apparent.

Friedman @FriedgeHNIC tells us on The Program the #Canucks interest in Nikita Zaitsev is about a 4 out of 5 right now. "He's a right handed D at a time when everybody needs them/I do think you guys (Van) are interested"

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

He also said the hate factor for Zaitsev is really over blown

I have a feeling you do not live on the island and have never seen him play. Correct? Scores 90% of his goals 2-5 feet out dead center.

I’d much rather lock in one of those high ceiling elite skillset guys than trade back & wind up with Seider & a 2nd rounder (& I was by far his biggest booster in here until recently).

Do you believe those are the widest margins? Last year I would say Hughes was probably the best case scenario for Vancouver. I wanted Zadina, but Hughes is a good consolation. There are probably teams ahead of Vancouver who have different priorities. Is there a chance that someone who by all accounts shouldn't be there but is? Also, 10 is pretty far down the list, and the second/third tiers are gone, is there a scenario you could see where Benning reaches for someone who should really be going much later but because of his (misguided) sense of what the team needs he drafts another Virtanen.

When BPA and need both line up for best case scenario. That's how I felt as well.
