Why the (frank) would Marleau accept a trade to anywhere but San Jose or a legit contender?
Can we put that one to bed already? - golfingsince
It's almost summer and HB needs the hits. |

Because it doesn't make a modicum of sense. |

Good in-depth update Carol, always appreciated!
I wonder what it would take to trade down for Carolina’s 1st and nab their 2 2nds at 36 & 37? |

For 26th, 36th & 37th that’s banking on a deep draft & some top flight picking. I think the Canes want scoring & trade D. |

Why take on 15m for Tanev? Never - Nighthawk
Yah, Marlue is only 1 year though. But he wouldn’t waive anyways...just brain storming waiting for the draft / FA to start |

Liiga is not SHL. Also, he didnt look anything too crazy in wjc or u18. So in which way do you have him in the same class - neem55
The Liiga isn't that far removed from the SHL anymore and Heinola excelled there as a young 17 year old. He's not as dynamic as Heiskanen but did a good job outproducing him. Further, I'm not convinced Soderstrom has all that high of a ceiling. I think they're both within the range of a Stralman/Niskanen type with Soderstrom having the edge in dynamism. |

The Finns won gold without an NHLer.
I think that says it all for the Liiga |

10th and Beartschi perhaps? Maybe JV instead.
I'm not sure what I would prefer, probably depends on who is still there at 10. |

Was away all weekend at a beauty of a spot in northern NZ.
No cell coverage, no problem.
I see the Raps won game 1.
Still haven't bothered to watch any SCF highlights.
We're getting Marleau now??
Hard pass.
I'll take Zaitsev and Nylander off the TML's hands for Tanev, JV, Goldobin and DiPietro.
No Marleau. |

For President? |

If Benning deals Virtanen he will regret it. At 6'1" 220 lbs, you don't have to have a mean streak. The guy is 22. He still has some growing to do. Canucks will see improvement in some unexpected places. The door is also open for Joulevi, who's had a couple of setbacks but is still only 21. These guys need opportunity and may very well get it if Benning doesn't lose his mind again on July 1st. A repeat of the Beagle/Schaller type signings and I'm throwing in the towel on this guy, no matter how great his drafting is. |

It doesn't matter how big his body is his toolbox is way to small and there's no steroid for that. |

You guys can hate the Raptors all you want ( those that do ). I don't give a (frank) about the Raptors but these players are a hard working bunch. They're also a bunch of pretty humble athletes. I'm gonna cheer for them, GS has won enough recently. |

I wouldn't trade him for a reclamation project.
I also expect him to continue to improve.
He has value given the above and his low cap hit.
However, I would add him to a package for an established young scorer, or a top 4 Dman to a cash strapped team.

It's a good story.
Good GM. Amazing gamble to acquire Kawhai, which has played out perfectly.
Also good trade to acquire Gasol.
Good coach. Well executed game plans.
Good players from role players, improved youngsters, leaders, etc.

ok.
Pretty sure VGK could do better than that package tho.
Would look nice next to EP and BB.
What would his salary demands look like though? |
