Honestly, this screams bad contract. Buffalo should not overpay and they will. Sam will have to be signed and soon it will be Dahlin with the big contract.


Anywhere north of 5M$ is overpaying. How can you pay him more than Pastrnak, Marchand or Bergeron who all makes less than 7M$.

No a Calgary poster

9 mil seems to be the number. That’s about right for a 27 year old coming off a 40 goal season. As for the Okposo chatter, no one is taking that deal, and that first you’d like to dangle is basically a 2nd. His production, paired with his health and contract make him one of the worst contracts in the league. Perhaps the energy spent on the Okposo-trade delusion could be better spent on figuring out what a buyout would look like.

Drouin is nothing more that a higher skilled Afinogenov. Tampa Bay fans would chant "pass the puck" every time Drouin had it. Someone needs to inform him the guys with similar jerseys are called teammates and it's ok to pass the puck to them.

I’ve always wondered if a d-man can just, switch sides? I’ve always assumed a defenseman plays right or left because they’re better on the the right or left? Maybe it’s just a comfort thing and not skill..?

It would be interesting, but I'd like it more if he were a right shot to play RW. I know he's listed at center, but I'd rather see him at wing, and LW is mighty crowded if, hopefully, Skinner is staying.

What a horrific contract for Skinner. Ludicrous. And I had to listen to morons all year say Nylander at 6.9 was just the worst ever.
