I've got to be honest...I don't get to see a lot of west coast games, it's just too late at night. So I apologize if this is stupid.

But what about something along the lines of NZ & Brown for Nurse? Nothing retained on either side.

Edmonton gets a couple of guys who are still of a good age and are quality NHLers, one of which being McD's old OHL linemate.

Toronto gets about 3.4M of cap relief (no one signs in Edm anyway) and a tougher D-man who also fits age wise.

With Gardiner gone Reilly will need to step up. I see him having a struggle of a season.

I am sure Dumbas has a plan to bring in a babysitter for Rielly

Zaitsev’s contract is an albatross. You aren’t moving that for a better defenseman by including a bottom 6 forward in Brown.

How so? They don't play together in any situation and Muzzin is more than adequate to fill Gardiners spot both at regular strength and on the #2 PP

Was wondering the same. Rielly had a great season and didn’t play with Gardiner much at all.

I didn't realize how many points Nurse put up this season.

I miss Chiarelli

We should all be afraid that he’s looking for work. At least my team has already fired him so odds are close to 0 haha

Whenever he leaves somewhere there’s just such a mess to clean up

Mike Augello: Zaitsev requests trade; Dubas more prepared for trade season
- mikeinbuffalo

Today @ 7:59 AM ET
What!

He wants out because of usage. He thinks he's an offensive guy, but leafs using him more defensive role. Guy can't move the puck and isn't good defensively, that he wants out is a golden egg for the leafs.

The leafs have been trying to trade him since like dec, that z is asking for out now is comical.
- burn

(frank) the rabbit

he’s soft as slime

i could snap his pencil neck with two fingers

dubass should’ve traded him greedy willi and garbagener for a couple of grown men who can actually play defense and a heavier playoff performer who doesn’t shrink like like a dead d!ck in winter under a sheet of snow

what a (frank)ing joke

edit: nice alliteration

It sounds like you're suggesting a Zaitsev for McAvoy swap...

I love how everybody groups 3rd line forwards with 4th liners, and Brown would be at least a 2nd liner on the Oil and a lot of other teams.

As a St. Louis fan, I'm sure he'd gladly want that trade to happen right this second.

Hearing the Leafs and Kings have talked about a potential Patrick Marleau trade. Obviously there’s the Todd McLellan connection there for Marleau so he might waive. But as of now I don’t think the two teams have found a fit. Kings would need to unload a contract or two as well...

Gardiner took a lot of tough minutes from Reilly, allowed him to get in the Ozone more too. Gardiner was the whipping boy for Babcok.

I can't think of many instances when Gardiner was given a tougher assignment than Rielly. Try again troll

So Dubas convinced Zaitsev to demand a trade AND forced the Kings to hire a poop coach who loves Mearleau? 4D (frank)ing checkmate.
