I made it pretty clear that Karlsson wouldn't sign any offer sheet unless it was 7 years. He can get 8 years from Vegas, so signing 7 years for another team is a sacrifice. Why on earth would he settle for 5 years in the range of $4.3M to $6.3M?? That's the first point.
Then I said even if he settles for $6.1M or $6.3M - highly unlikely by the way - but even if he takes that over 7 years the compensation is not a 1st and 3rd. It's two 1sts, a 2nd, and a 3rd.
I have nothing to apologize for because frankly I'm the only one on this thread so far that actually understands how offer sheets work. Again, go re-read my posts carefully and do your own research.

Any offer sheet is total $$$’s divided by 5 for the AAV.
So take 7/7m that is 49m divided by 5 = 9.8m AAV & costs a 1st & 3rd in 2020.
Ok I didn’t know that. I even asked that kinda, You really don’t need to be nasty about it
Like you said, I never think of offer sheets because they don’t really happen
Marner or Point is possible this year tho

No they are not realistic at all.
Marner 7/11m is 15.4m AAV & 4-1sts
Marner or Point would have to sign for 5yrs or less which they might.
