Both are players with unique skill sets that have to put it all together. Allen has the tools but if he doesn't fix his accuracy issues he'll be Joe Flacco 2.0. Tage can hit the weight room and work on his release and maybe become our poor mans Alex Tuch, if he doesnt he will be no better then Mark Mancari or Luke Adam.
- Pegullaville

His ceiling is much more Joel Armia than it is Alex Tuch imo

Ppl assumed i spoke out about him as a prospect bc i was butthurt about ROR
I think now a lot of ppl have seen where i was coming from calling him a “B” prospect

Even while Pegs continues to defend him...
He’s gone from “wondering if I’ll eat my words when he scores 25goals in a season”
to
“he can develop into a 15-20goal middle6 guy”

If there’s a team that still believes in Tage as a 20+ goal scorer, then we should see what they’d give us for him

- jdfitz77

nylander and o regan outplayed him in the preseason, and tage was given a spot in the top 9

that smelled like a darcy move

But no team would give anything of value. So it’s a moot point.

He’s going to get another chance in the Sabres lineup. Hopefully it’s a legit chance with a decent center and we will know if he can play or not

Can't change any of that.

Hating on everything Sabres is a weird way to be a fan though.

- jcragcrumple

What the hell is there to like right now? Even our uniforms are hideous. We had to be the worst team ever to get a decent defenseman and this team has no organizational depth, drafts terribly, is poorly managed and has an entire team of lazy underachievers who refuse to step up and become a leader in any way.

But you know, slap the C on a guy who tells team mates to go (frank) themselves, criticizes literally his entire team's work-ethic because they aren't anal-retentive jocks who have a pre-game routine that is bordering on mentally ill and rivals Mark Wahlberg in terms of redundancy (seriously go look up his daily routine) and who got choked out by a coach who had known him for almost 10 years at that point because his attitude absolutely suuuuuucks...

And "paying money for a good product" is all and well but when the entire season-ticket holder group sells their tickets at 5x the normal price on the secondary market because the team miraculously didn't suck at all for 10 games, I can't help but die a little inside.

We don't deserve nice things.

Reasonable
But they’re still a division rival
And there’s a difference between respecting them,
and cheering for them

A Yankees fan would never cheer for the Red Sox
A Michigan fan is never cheering for Ohio state
Redskins fans don’t cheer for the Cowboys

This isn’t a crazy concept here
You just don’t CHEER for your rivals...
that’s sports

- jdfitz77

When there are TWO teams left, I just don't and won't automatically default to the one that isn't a "rival". I'm going to choose the one that I want, based on certain criteria. They've earned their right to be there as much as the Blues.

Until our team can honestly be considered contenders again, that's how I'll roll.

And Cam was one of my favorite players of all time.

It should be a rule or a law that no Leaf fans can attend Sabres home games when they play the Leafs, make me sick.

Botts did say he was gonna get a shot
I just don’t get why it lasted so long?

I liked the Skinner & Sheary trade
And i think his drafting has been pretty good
But Botts has made MANY questionable decisions so far too imo

because he had bad wr's that got owned by big conference db's in big games, or because he had the worst wr core in the nfl last season?

jim kelly had a few years in the usfl and played at a big time college team and only got 12 more yards per game as a nfl rookie then allen

- homiedclown

Yes and Peyton Manning holds the record for most interceptions as a rookie. Go look at my post at the top of page 13 and you'll see what I'm talking about regarding Allen's accuracy.

I'll say it for the second time, posters can use faith based intuition for Allen and say he is going to be a darn good QB. I think he has the tools to get there but hes far from a finished product.

However when I used faith based intuition to say Tage has a chance to be a middle 6 contributor with scoring touch its a barrage of takes saying he wont be anything without giving the kid more time.

Allen scored 38th out of 39 of NFL QB's last year according to PFF and yet Flacco is a running joke on here yet he has more rings then both Buffalo franchises put together. Figure that one out.

I guess. It's the biggest rivalry Buffalo has and they're selling tix to Leafs fans so they can offset the cost of season tickets

Allen was terrible according to the stats yet everyone on here thinks he is the future of their franchise.

Thompson was terrible this past year yet we might as well release him now becuase he is Mark Mancari.

Let's be honest here. Tage had a good pre-season. Nylander failed when they gave him a shot at RW. O'Regan was a non-factor. Bailey should have been competition, but wasn't. The competition at RW was non-existent.

allen has no excuses for next season with what they surrounded him with, I will leave it at that
I did not want him, but I am going to give him a chance
