I think you misunderstood that part of his article. He said that being in that system after his struggles would have been toxic. He said that it could have caused him to succumb to his alcohol and depression again by being in the same environment.

He actually outright said in that article that the organization was one of the strong points and thanked them for pulling him from the game and putting him in rehab. He thanked them for putting his health above finishing the season. He even said that they were completely on board and understanding when they had their face to face and he openly stated that a fresh start elsewhere would be best for him. The organization was not required to let that happen and did what was best for him. He VERY MUCH appreciated that.

So, you are saying he said the environment was taoxic.
Couple that with ROR's deftly orchestrated move out of there.
Doesn't that say something.
But hey, everything is coming up roses!

Raiders signed OG Richie Incognito to a one-year contract.
It is a bit of a surprise Incognito is getting another shot. The former Pro-Bowler spent 2018 out of the league in part because of multiple off-field altercations and a brief stint in a mental health facility after he retired, un-retired, and was cut by the Bills. Incognito is reportedly "feeling well in all aspects," however, and was a solid player for the Bills back in 2017. He is a good flier for a team which could use a starter at left guard.

"Richie, this is Jon Gruden. I have a secret mission from the CIA. They said you're supposed to come play here, but they also said to get rid of all your guns and you can only eat with plastic silverware in the dining hall"

No... you are misunderstanding it again.

Have you never dealt with anyone that had a form of substance abuse or depression in your life?

How people are able to stay sober or clean is by putting themselves in new environments that don't give them constant reminders of their "dark times".

It is not saying that the environment is toxic.. it is saying that it is negative cognitive reminders for someone who struggled with the issues that he did.

Do you get it now?

BPA.

This will ruffle some feathers I would imagine ...
Don't be too surprised if the
"The Buffalo Sabres select, with the 7th pick in the 2019 NHL Draft, Defenseman from the Vacouver Giants, Bowen Byram"

If that kid is available, picking a potential #1 D man who is solid at both ends of the ice is never a bad thing.

Watch this place implode!

I'd be ok with this...our D was a mess last year.

But I'd be happier with it if they sign Skinner before the draft

i have no problem picking a D man.. yes we have a crap load of them because of last years draft, but good ones tend to bring in better trade value.

Is Schenn making 7.5M a year and did we already have an established roster ? If the Blues don’t win this year or next, they’ll be waiting another 40 years. If Botts plays this right we could have a 5-10 year solid window.

Meanwhile...

Lame, table for 1, that's lame, table for 1!

Goal song should be Bro Hymm by Pennywise. Also the Sabres should come out to A Warriors Call by Volbeat.

One of my fav bands!
Anaheim & Philly already use that song though

No one is saying they made us bad.

We’re saying it wasn’t working.

It would be a different story entirely if Kane and ROR were part of playoff teams here and we then moved them.

It wasn’t working bc 75% of our roster still was “tank worthy”
U don’t dump the good players...

Wow - so simple, how in the world didn't any of the previous administration follow that blueprint?

BRILLIANT!
