To bad so many of the younger fans associate that jersey with Bure, I think that is the only reason people like it. The only one I like is the stick & rink. - Marwood

You missed my point. I literally said above why I understand why they chose an ORCA with a West Coast team.....
What does an Orca have to do with a "Canuck" - Codes1087
About as much as a lumberjack I guess? It respresents where we live. FYI, the team was named way back when for Johnny Canuck, a Canadian cartoon hero who was pilot, not a lumberjack. |

Interesting draft video. Certainly sounds like Canucks are taking a forward. Also, Weisbrod confirms that they had Hughes at 3 last season so we won the lottery |

I'm still confused as to why the hate is so strong for the orca for some people. - NorthNuck
Orca Bay Sports & Ent. has come and gone. I can see it when they were relevant but now it just looks stupid and has nothing to do with Hockey. Could care less if it represents BC or the Province it's not Hockey relevant. You don't see the Habs, Red Wings, Philly, Boston, Chicago, so on and so forth changing their traditional logos to a fuc*king fish lol because it 'reperesents' where we live. It would just be nice for the club to show a little tradition and go back to the Stick N Rink full time with the Blue Green White Flying Skate as an alternative. Plus the logo in the Centre Ice Circle looks ridiculous as well. There...Vented....lol |

while I personally don't care much for the lumberjack, it 100% makes more sense as a logo than the whale ever did. Again, not disputing the reasoning on why they chose a animal that is iconic to the West Coast, I just never understood its purpose, outside of the company that was currently owners of the team. |

You (frank)in redneck Albertan, killer whales are mammals, not fish
None of the teams, you named above, crest’s has anything to do with hockey either, the Red Wings logo is a wheel which represents the automotive industry in Detroit’s history. Not unlike the C with a birthing whale lol.
Stick in Rink is my favourite though. |

and to be fair, I dont "hate" the logo. There are worse logos in the league, different leagues, etc that I dislike more. I just never understood it, would be super happy to lose it, and personally love the stink+rink one the best, so hoping they revert back to the original. |

I’m just being the devils advocate, the modified stick in the rink is my favourite logo but I totally understand the Orca and don’t hate it. |

Ya Not the first time lol. Red Deer is getting a pretty bad rap right now. Crime rate is soaring out of control and we are stuck between the Oilers and Flames fans full time...lol |

I always wanted to see a lumberjack riding a killer whale as our logo, Sea World style. |

Being a British Columbian you should know killer whales are not fish though, Jesus, you’re obviously losing your heritage as that’s something an Albertan would say. I’m a born and raised islander, (frank) Alberta |

I dont think one makes any more sense over the either - thats just personal bias on your part. And I LOATHE the Orca....
The only reason why it would make any sense is the name - "Johnny Canuck"..... |
