Jersey revamp = meh.....why bother? Thought they'd go big on the 50th......I guess they got distracted by blueberries.....
Looking for something radical but maybe that'll be the 3rd jersey. |

ORCA again...bloody awful. One of the most embarrassing symbols in the league IMO.
Flying skate in the blue/green/white configuration would have been nice. |

In so many ways... To continue to be cucked by former ownership’s corporate logo is (frank)ing bizarre. Then again, to be fair, the Aquilinis probably hired a prestigious marketing firm*, put them in a spacious modern boardroom** with the current jersey, and treated them like kings*** until the new design was complete. So who are we to question it?
* their fav blueberry pickers
** locked them in a closet
*** starved them until they ate the V A N C O U V E R lettering off the current jersey |

At least it’s an angry looking whale, and doesn’t offend anyone too seriously... |

The message that one always conveyed to me was "we're going downhill, fast." |

To bad so many of the younger fans associate that jersey with Bure, I think that is the only reason people like it. The only one I like is the stick & rink. |

I'm still confused as to why the hate is so strong for the orca for some people. |

I remember when that stupid rap song about the Canucks came out a while back, and the lyrics were "thats my team way before the blue and green it was black, red, yellow". The song became super popular and fans loved it. I couldn't believe it. |

Me too? The modified stick in the rink is my favourite but I don’t hate the Orca, it represents where we live, which is why McCaw used it in the first place.
“On August 22 the company was rebaptized Orca Bay Sports and Entertainment, in homage to the killer whales that roam on the British Columbia coast.” |

The Orca just has nothing to do with anything. I understand why it was encorporated into the logo when it was owned by Orca Bay Sports and Ent, and perhaps a case could be made for why its the animal used for a west coast team, but its outdated IMO and doesn't really serve a purpose. The word Vancouver over it was always stupid in my opinion, not sure why people needed to be reminded what team that orca belongs to.
The stick in the rink, to me anyway, is just classic, simple, original and paired with the blue and green, is by far my most favorite logo/color theme. |

You say this and then quickly go on to contradict yourself
The Orca very much is a symbol of our province, actually on a global scale. It’s also fully entrained into our First Nations culture. |

You missed my point. I literally said above why I understand why they chose an ORCA with a West Coast team.....
What does an Orca have to do with a "Canuck" |
