The issue with paying a Nelson that is he is truly a supporting piece. It's too high. And dumping that contract later will be very tough.

I get the CAP is going up... but I don't equate a guy like Nelson with a guy like Kadri on any level. SKill, nope, stats over the recent seasons, contribution, etc - but that's just me.

I wouldn't be a GM that would sign him at $6M a season... regardless of CAP increase. Lou has a goalie to sign and Anders Lee... and next year will need to sign Barzal... he's got no business givng Nelson that contract for that duration (my opinion).
