your PK was about middle of the pack, considering you didn't really have many good defensive players, that's also not bad. not great, but certainly not horrible.

Cause they had a hot start and trailed off when they faced other teams’ adjustments. But I thought Hiller handled the PP so it wouldnt be on Smith.

Seems like a cost motivated move, but like many people are saying, its not that big a deal if youre tanking/rebuilding for a few years. Also gives Smith some time to get better and develop as a coach.

whether they say it or not, he was brought in not to win, but to develop the young guys.....hopefully he can do it. was supposedly a great junior coach

Do they really need to say that? They're in the midst of one of the most bluntly overt rebuilds in the history of professional sports.

It is my understanding that DJ Smith was looking after the defensive side of things and the penalty kill.
