but it would make lot of sense for leafs to target a young defenseman with an offersheet that actually could add some real value (McAvoy, Provorov, even Pionk, Edmundson)

without any doubt Leafs paying McAvoy 8.5mln a year (having to trade 2 or 3 out of Nylander-Kapanen-Johnsson-Kadri) to do so would still make Leafs a better team.

Chance of McAvoy leaving is less than 3% imo.
