7 goals is a little worse than meh.

If the Leafs can't move Marleau and are forced to move Johnsson, or worse, Kapanen, it's going to be imperative that Nylander scores at least 25-30 and 70 points given his cap hit. And if he has another poop year, full blown whipping boy status will be applied.

No he has proven during this WC tournament that he is back in form!!

That's exactly the point. He shows up to play when there is no chance of getting hit and a lack of NHL level talent on most teams.

The question has never been whether or not he had the talent compared to his peers.
