I hope so, unless Babcock squashes McFarland and reduces him to a 'yes man'
- PatC80

Nah, he let Hiller run the show and he had a bad PP/Penatly kill really for most of the year. I think he lets him run it on his own considering his track record.

Good point;

Hiller's PP/PK strategy was basically;

In fairness he only ran the PP, DJ Smith was the PK I Believe. But the PP was mind boggling.

There was one time on the PP that Tavares was in front of the goalie but then he pushed back into the high slot, took a pass, and scored a goal.

That was a good play. Can't honestly remember another from the season on the PP.

there was that one time, when Matthews skated from the right side of the ice to the left side of the ice and scored a goal.
Thankfully, they stopped moving Matthews around on the PP.. Don't need him scoring more, or in 5 years his contract will be yuuuge

After that worked, they tried to do it a few more times. Didn't work 'cause teams immediately adjusted to it.

Yes. Surprising that their general strategy of being completely stationary and passing the puck, and then changing after 30 seconds after a missed shot didn't work.
