Gotcha. Idk...I have hope in that the players seem to have bought in and obviously they have more to execute on defensively.

Apples to oranges, but to draw a Bears comp, the team under Trestman never seemed to buy in where they they have under Nagy. Not saying JC is Nagy and even Nagy himself has a lot to prove in year 2...but here’s hoping.

Like I said, I like they are trying something different than going the retread route, though I suppose they could have hired an up and comer from this side of the pond too.

Or fail to 7th like Bulls did

Well I think they will be closer to that slot #13 range and if the make the playoffs higher of course.

Next year is an interesting class too, similar to 2019 with a 1 & 1B at the top but there

Slots #3 -5 are also really good players just like the Hawks have that nice think group to decide from.
But as of now in my humble opinion 2020 looks typical after those slots but a few nice defenseman and forward options but typical in that you right now don't see 31 players that are tru "first rounders" and that is the case in most drafts, a slot 20-40+ choose the horse you want to back and see what their development brings.

I would be remiss not to mention the multiple Bowman fails associate with Brock Nelson.

1. The pick used to draft Nelson was #30 in 2010 which originally belonged to the Blackhawks. Stan traded it for picks #35 and #58
2. At #35 Stan drafted Ludwig Rensfeltd (0 NHL games)
3. At #58 Stan drafted Kent Simpson (played 1 NHL period)
4. Stan passed on Justin Faulk who went at #37
5. Stan passed on Jon Merrill (#38)
6. Stan passed on Tyler Toffoli (#47)
7. Stan passed on Called Jarnkrok (#51)
8. Stan passed (twice) on Jason Zucker (#59)

Stan passed on 6 NHLers for one period of NHL hockey.

It's high time for Stan to pay for his crimes against hockey!

Disappointed at what may or may not happen in the future? That's called anxiety bud.

Stan was alone in passing on Br Nelson? There were no other misses in drafting by other GM's? Right.

Mr. Cholak’s obituary from 11/3/2002 in the Tribune.

https://www.chicagotribun...-03-0211030062-story.html

Marigold was an arena on a Broadway and Grace (Uptown neighborhood I think - North Side). I can’t find when it was torn down, but it was.

Jack Brickhouse did the TV play by play of the wrestling. I never went to the Marigold but would watch on TV.

When watching the Cubs game on TV and the camera up top behind the plate shows the scoreboard there is a high rise apartment building in the distance a couple blocks away. That building is at Broadway and Grace and I think is the site you refer to.

We're not concerned with other GMs mistakes, only Stan's many (many) failures.
