I doubt you’ll get much disagreement there. The real argument is who IS the BPA? I have no clue, so on draft day, as long as we get one of the names everyone has been talking about, and not some no-name outta left field, I won’t complain...until four years from now when whoever went 4th is better - Ogilthorpe2
4 Years? It won't take that long, I'm expecting 4 hours. |

My post was directed to someone, and the many, who are in fact looking beyond the BPA and are pining for SIZE.
I too have no idea who the Hawks should draft? I like what I see and hear about a few players (Turcotte, Byram, Dachs, Caufield, Cozens etc.). And the consensus of the various sites ranking players is all over the place. I'm wondering if the Hawks are able to move the #3 (plus) to a team with 2 firsts, the player the Hawks want could possibly still be there? Then picking later in the first, getting a goalie or a guy like Newhook who looks, based on some Youtube clips, like he may be a real top end prospect. The only concern there is he is playing against lower level competition so it's hard to get a real idea of his talent. |

Trouba is a RFA next season so not only does he cost a team a first, what kind of contract is he looking for? He's making $5.5M a season now, I expect he's going to want a big raise and term. Is he worth it? I have no idea? This is what Stan gets paid the big bucks for. |

If I am going to pay that much for a right handed defenseman, I would just pick up Tyler Myers as a UFA, and we would keep the first pick

What does everyone think Debrincat will get? He has looked really good on team USA. |

A couple questions for Wiz. After the first two picks, where in your opinion does the drop off begin. I'm thinking Cozens, Turcotte, Byram, Dach and Zegras before we hit the next tier. That leaves LA, Colorado and Buffalo in the top 7, with a later first. Do you see a worthwhile scenario with the Hawks trading down maybe including Gus and a swap of 2nds or do they lock in on the 3. Thanks. |

Trade him for Lucic, the team needs grit not goals. |

Damn... I tried to get tickets to the first round of the draft, they went on sale 20 minutes ago and the first round is already sold out. |

6 years $6 mil. AAV, with less production than Saad, so ADB is going to ask for at least $8mil.

I've been predicting him at ~7.5M. No more than 8M. |

Stupid Bowman! |

Not to change subject but why does the final not start till the 27th . I'm not one to always be critical of the NHL but this is silly to have almost a week off before the finals.

Nelson was also a center and is going to be a UFA which both drive up the price.
Cat is a goal scorer and PP guy but is not a 2 way player and is a wing. and has 5 more years till he is UFA,

Should try to sign DBC and Strom now if that is even possible .I see DBC scoring 50+ next year . 50 + = 10.5 |

4 Hours? It won't take that long. There will be a rumor on the internet about who the Hawks are taking a couple of days before the draft and the lynch party will begin forming for Stan. |

I think they like to start the Final on Memorial Day. They’ve been doing that since 2016. |
