Karlsson would be a good pickup as long as hes healthier than this season. It also allows ghost to be used as a piece to improve the team elsewhere

It's not really about whether or not he could help and improve the team. It's about a player who seems to be declining and having injury issues and signing him to a huge UFA deal. How about we keep Gostisbehere and save the cap space to re-sign our top young players.

Too much. I know we've talked about this before but I refuse to give up Myers sanheim provy or our pick this year for a vet. I'd like to see ghost get another year unless he lands you a premiere guy (but why would he after this season?).

I'd take stralman and a 2c who can move to wing with age. Brock got 6x6. I'd see if hayes would take 5x5-5.5

I don’t have any thoughts of giving up on Provorov, Sanheim or Myers. I just want to slot them where their individual games are right now. Support them and enable them to grow to their potentials. They will be ages 22-23 next season. Too much too soon.
I’m sure Stralman is a possibility. I don’t really think it’s a good idea to get a center on a longer contract (where we would need to move him later).

I am still optimistic with Allison and Laczynski.

Him and allison could both walk which would really hurt some the depth we thought we had

What timing. Maybe my fears are unfounded.

I’m still floored that laczsynski decided to go back to school. Who is giving this kid direction? Highly skeptical that he’ll sign with us

Dunno, not really getting the vibe that this is some maneuver to break free.

"He wants to come back and try to finish some unfinished business and those are all goals - get a degree, get better as a hockey player, develop, become a better person and try to win your last game," Rohlik said. "I think all those things fill his bucket."

"He's going to do whatever it takes to be the best player he can for the Flyers. That has been his main goal here at Ohio State, that he's going to take advantage of every resource he can here because his dream is to play at that level. … I just think he's going to come in there and try to prove himself and try to be an everyday player for them at some point."

Is he even that great of a prospect that he'd be better off going UFA than staying w/ the team that invested a draft pick in him?

Even with Provorov’s down season, both Sanheim and Provorov are playing impressive minutes with two very balanced games. I expect a huge season from both players.

Sure, I expect great seasons from them and want to give them the support to do that.

Provy is currently a questionable #2 with #1 potential.
Sanheim is currently a #3 or #4 with #1b potential.
Myers is currently a #6 but has shown he can grow fast. Potential #1-3.

Sure, super promising, but it takes time. Meanwhile we have a chance to get some help, slot them where they are now and watch them grow with team success.

I would take Hayes at those numbers

Except he isnt declining. Hehad a good year in SJ. He got a groin injury and he came back too early and kept reinjuring it. EK is better than ghost and ghost can be used to improve the team further with a young forward

So you're stating that as a fact? Feel free to post in support of those facts.

are you going to post facts to support he didn't have regrets???

You want proof, I am sure you can reference any psychology book or talk to any person who has lost a job or had any sort of lose and that would validate it is common place to go back and think about what you could have done differently or what did you miss, you know REGRETS.

Wow, this is one of the dumber arguments in a sea of dumb arguments on this site.

Of course he had regrets. He is human. End of discussion.

He is declining although still a very good player. He is also better than Gostisbehere. Still doesn't add up to the Flyers spending that kind of cap space on him.

No, I don't need to. I'm only offering the opinion that I don't think he has anything that he should regret. Nothing is absolute and regrets are a level of thinking about things. A person in any endeavor can look back at a decision they made and in hindsight look at it as a mistake. Doesn't mean they regret what they did. Hextall talked a lot about deals he had available that he looked at and didn't make. He passed on them for a reason at the time. My opinion based on what I know about Hextall is that he is resolute in his philosophies and how he was going to build the team and stood by those principals. To change would've been to turn on himself.
