Friedman on FAN960 believes Erik Karlsson is considering surgery, it is not known what his injury is though, but many speculate it’s the groin.

Friedman also says Erik Karlsson’s first choice, if he had a say, is to sign with the Tampa Bay Lightning.

- jimbro83

Groin isn't terrible surgery, so that's not too bad. He should inquire about a twofer discount and get that hoof fixed.

Kreids was pretty awful towards the end of the year. Really amazing he didn't break 30g's after that incredible start.

Buch finally got it at the end of the year. I think the only definite is Zib. Quinn has shown no issue with benching or demoting players, vets or not

As is i wouldn’t mind him on the 2nd line.

Kakko Zib Buch
Kreider Chytil Lemeuix
Kravtsov Howden Strome

That’s a big 2nd line

- nyrangers9479

I'm thinking Kakko(if thats who we get) and Kravtsov are going to have great years. Gonna come in with some piss and vinegar

Yesterday, Barnaby brought up him signing a one year deal somewhere.

Jimbo, if they signed EK, they would need to get rid of Cernak or Foote. No room for both. Cernak would be a RFA next year where as Foote would have 3 years on an ELC on the 3rd pair. I definitely see a fit there.

Hedman EK
McD Sergachev
X Foote

With his injury problems no way he does that. He wants his 7 year deal knowing his body is breaking down

Coburn is a UFA

Cernak-Foote is perfect cheap pairing

this is so weird, because Ottawa went to game 7 of conference final

Erik Karlsson, on being so close to winning the Cup: "If we would've been healthy, we would've had a legitimate chance of winning the Cup, which is a great feeling to have. It's something that for the first time in my career I've experienced. I enjoyed that."

Yea injuries in the 2nd half slowed him down...franked up what could have been a 40 goal season

Both righties. I don’t know of many righty righty combos on D, can’t think of any off the top of my head. Closest was Burns/EK but they were only paired late in games for offense when they were losing.

Idk. No one is giving him that 12 mill for 7 years he wants right now.

Not the same, but I think pitchers do that once in awhile (one yr prove it deals) He is fked this summer imo

yeah, I dont know how it would work out, but I do know they are letting Girardi, Coburn and Stralman walk and Cernak, Sergachev and Foote are their future

if they get Karlsson, they probably leave Rutta as their 7th d-man

I don't want any of their defensemen, I want Point

Ok but Hedman McD and Sergachev aren’t going anywhere. If they sign EK there’s only 2 spots open. They could get a nice package for Cernak. Let’s have fun quick;

Cernak Point Callahan
