JD leaving Columbus is like when Bill Murray left the golf course after blowing it up in Caddyshack

They won’t trade him. He’s a heckuva player
- Slimtj100

Ya, but he had career highs in everything this year and had 27/20 for 47 points. Nothing crazy, some would maybe say it’s an overpayment?

Very young team. I can't imagine any of these lines would stay with the exception of the 1st for now. I think its going to be a lot of mixing and matching and who is playing well

Ya I don’t even think the 1st line stays together. Put Kreider with Kravtsov and Kakko with Zib maybe.

Why would you break up KZB though? It's the one proven line that we have.

In a perfect world no one makes a trade with the Penguins and let them eat poop for the next 10 years

Who knows. If your boy Lemieux works hard this summer on his skating and stamina, I could see him cracking the top 6 if other players aren't playing well. One thing he does is play hard every shift. He is definitely a Quinn type player

I forgot who the analyst was on XM, but they were saying they expect Colorado to be VERY active this summer, including making a major pitch to get Hayes, and another top player. I could see that, McKinnon and Rantanen are on CHEEEEEEEP contracts.

Yes but only bc we have so many 1st/2nd year guys. Can’t put a 2nd line of Kravtsov Chytil Kakko with a combined 84 games out there.

Kreids was pretty awful towards the end of the year. Really amazing he didn't break 30g's after that incredible start.

Buch finally got it at the end of the year. I think the only definite is Zib. Quinn has shown no issue with benching or demoting players, vets or not

Id love Lemeuix in the top 6, but I think he’s fine on the 3rd line with Kakko/Kravtsov and possibly Panarin coming. If it were up to me I’d put him on a line with Kakko as a little protection

Oh I thought we were talking about "as is". But yeah if they sign Panarin would make it way harder for him

As is i wouldn’t mind him on the 2nd line.

Kakko Zib Buch
Kreider Chytil Lemeuix
Kravtsov Howden Strome

That’s a big 2nd line

Friedman on FAN960 believes Erik Karlsson is considering surgery, it is not known what his injury is though, but many speculate it’s the groin.

Friedman also says Erik Karlsson’s first choice, if he had a say, is to sign with the Tampa Bay Lightning.
