Because he lacked the most important ability. Availability. Dude was good when he was playing, but when you're counting on him to play, he can't go to the locker room at halftime and not come back. This would be the Bills' second tight end injury of the day with Tyler Kroft breaking his foot earlier. Kroft's expected recovery time is three to four months, so there's room for Lee Smith, Croom, or third-rounder Dawson Knox to step up into a bigger role this preseason. The extent of Croom's injury is unknown, but the stars are aligning for Knox to earn reps as a rookie.

I hate the Leafs and Flyer fans but, the Bruins are on a mission. It will be hard for the Blues or Sharks to beat them.
