I think his production would increase massively here your looking at a guy that s is a hidden gem that will breakout and will become one of the best 2 way players in the nhl in a couple years .. I don’t remember but wasn’t Drury at the bottom of Colorado because of all the talent they had ( maybe I’m wrong)

Here teams wouldn't be game planning for Stamkos, Kuch, Point or Johnson. He scored 19 with a 15.4% shooting percent, is that sustainable? Also, 5 of the 19 goals were shorthanded, which I don't see easily repeatable. He did have a 58% Dzone start rate and was a +25 which are impressive, but this was all on team that had 30 more goals than the next closest team (98 more than Buffalo). Is he coming here to be a third line shutdown center? If that's the case then there better be a ++ coming back also, and that's not even counting Callahan being included.

He's young, and he'd get a better offensive opportunity with more ice time here
- jcragcrumple

That's fair. I saw his linemates were Miller and Killorn, figured that meant he'd have significantly better help there, but minutes do make an effect.

Playing only 14 minutes a night, many on the PK.

He's growing as a player, he hasn't plateaued.

- Powerslave

Of course. I kind of meant if he was here this year he'd getting around 12 of those goals. It's probably not a risky opinion to say he's a future, regular 20 goal player on any team.

Just thinking that if we're giving up Risto, taking a cap dump, I'd hope for better.

I'm genuinely interested in what you would sacrifice using our 2019/20 picks to bring in a #1 receiver, how the other needs were/are less significant, and why drafting a CB instead of a guy like Cody Ford would be better than drafting Cody Ford and bringing in a very successful but injury prone EJ Gaines and Kevin Johnson, along with the already successful Levi Wallace
- TheSabresTaco

I have no issue with them taking Ford at all. Was simply saying that our biggest need being an edge rusher makes more sense when you think of all the holes we filled this off season. We don't have many. If you had to pick one, filling the holes that will be left by Lawson's departure could potentially be our biggest need moving forward now.

This is from Ryan Wilson's Pens blog:

"Paying your best players is never the problem. Screwing up your mid-tier contracts is. The Penguins are limited in their options because Rutherford does not get value from his mid-tier contracts (ie the hard part of the job)."

Curious if this has been a problem since JBotts left or a problem while he was still there?

Bills TE Tyler Kroft suffered a broken foot on the first day of OTAs.
Coach Sean McDermott said Kroft will undergo surgery on Tuesday, and there is no timetable for his return, although NFL Network's Ian Rapoport estimates the tight end will miss three to four months. Kroft was expected to start after signing a three-year, $18.75 million contract in March, but now his Week 1 availability is up in the air. Lee Smith, Jason Croom, and third-rounder Dawson Knox are next up on the depth chart.

Drury played a bunch on the wing plus he got 2nd line center mins when Fopa was out with injuries(which was a lot 128 of 328 missed).

Better that it happened now, but he broke his foot last year, didn't he? Same foot.

There's 11 CBs currently on the roster. 5 of starting caliber. Could any position get better? Sure. But outside of a trade, the starting talent won't increase this season. At any position, really. I suppose there's maybe a chance if a team releases a guy throughout camp, or after June 1. It's pretty rare that you're grabbing a great player off the scrap heap.

Too bad we don't have a spot for Gerald McCoy. I'd rather have Ed Oliver.

Let me rephrase:

I feel the Bill's are short of high end quality corner backs.
Yes we have quantity but, not quality

Who was the player that was on the 3rd line and they increased his playing time and he became a first line center .

Maybe I’m thinking of a different team

McDermott confirms it's the same foot Tyler Kroft also broke last year with the Bengals.

Welp. I think he’s pretty much done

He was playing 18 mins a night for three of his 4 seasons there. Rookie year was under 14 mins

He was a .71 ppg player in Colorado and avg 55 points a season.

Sound familiar?.........

#Bills TE Tyler Kroft is facing a 3-4 month recovery from surgery to repair the foot he broke in the first OTA practice yesterday, source said. So still a shot to be back for Week 1.
