I wonder if SJ blows it up now. While they have a couple of solid young players and outside of Couture, Kane, Burns and Vlasic, they don't really have any players tied up long-term.

San Jose might have come back without the 5 minute major, galvanized by seeing Pavelski hurt. They also might have won in OT on their own, had the hand pass been called properly. Heck, there is a chance they wouldn't have been so tilted if they had won game 3 fair & square and not been subjected to the narrative of how unjust their win was, thus doing better in the games that followed.

I'm not walking away from the series a big fan of the sharks attitude. They whined after every single loss, never took responsibility, always "I feel like we deserved _________" comments. Compare that to St. Louis after losing to the hand pass, and there is a pretty clear difference.

But saying they didn't deserve to be in the conference final... they spent all year proving they were a top team. It may be unlikely they come back against Vegas without the blown call. But they deserved to be given the chance to, and weren't. They deserved to be given a chance to win game 3 fair & square, and weren't.
I don't think it's fair to say they didn't deserve to be here. We don't know that.

I just wanted to thank you for the Sharks coverage on here, for being a great sport about the charity wager and to wish you well this summer.

Same goes to the Sharks fans on wishing you all well this summer and looking forward to perhaps a bigger and renewed rivalry if we can keep meeting in the WCF.
