I’ll try returning here once the season starts. I’ll either eat massive crow or simply read the posts here. No gloating if right & eating crow could be on the menu. Til then i’ll look up some crow dishes just in case.

The Training-Camp Equation
The training camp equation can be used on the last day of training camp in preparation for the first day of the season:
ACSL = Team cap hit - LTIR player’s cap hit
Example: The 2017-18 upper limit is $75M, on the last day of the off-season a team has a projected cap hit of $78M and places a player with an AAV of $3.5M on LTIR:
Team cap hit = $78M
Player’s cap hit = $3.5M
ACSL = $78M - $3.5M = $74.5M
To accrue cap space while the team continues to use LTIR, they would need to trade players to get below a projected cap hit value of $74.5M.
As long as the Leafs aren’t more than 5.3m over the Cap, they will be fine. CAP HELL TRADE EVERYONE

I understand that. To end all of this guess we will wait & see come Day 1 of next season. So far it’s been 50/50 on which way it works. Like i said right or wrong i’m cool but til then i maintain LTIR doesn’t come free & the claw back is the ACSL. - Nighthawk
In what world is it 50/50 when you’re the only person that is having a hard time understanding. Me and you had this discussion in the nucks thread a few weeks ago I told you to go read about it and do some research, I was to lazy to go look and post the links. Now you have people actually bring the material right too you and you can’t understand it.

rolls My eyes over the usual asshattery and trolling...
We really need the bar raised some for the amusement factor!
Well I would give Hainsey the B but really that is because the guy DID bust his ass playing a role he never should have. Think everyone across the board agrees he is a bottom pair guy but thrust into that position he did what he could and played his ass off for us. Not gonna say he was great, because he wasn't but...
Z gets crap because of the contract sure, but that sophmore season with the concussion, and the start of focusing on defence not offence really has hurt him. I don't know if he will ever be better than what he is. Muzzin seems to help elevate him a bit but for that money yeah I tend to side with the we need an upgrade on him crowd too. I think his rating is more arguable as being too high and should be lowered some. - Roadrunner75

Tbh ppl know their hockey here if subjective & why i’m here to get your thoughts on the next draft. I like to be given more input & views on the prospects. My thoughts need the input to better get a feel on what others think. Thx - Nighthawk
As ive said before, the leafs have no 1st rounder, so the draft is weak after the top 2 picks.
Facts wont sway me on this particular issue

It's 50/50? In what sense? Friedman is quoted as saying you can. Other teams have actually done it before.capgeek says you can.
But we're still not sure if you can or not? It's 50/50 if you can do that or not.

Only Byram stands out to us after those 2.
I don’t see this as a great draft either & at 10oa it’s most likely tier 3 F’s or top 4D prospects. It’s not an exciting draft imo.

Who is that? All proof says that Horton can be on ltir during the summer. Concrete evidence from Friedman, from teams who have actually done it previously, from capgeek.
It is 100% proven to be true. Horton does not have to be on cap on day one which is what you had said earlier.

so much pathetic obsession with the Leafs - Aetherial
It's all omg the Leafs will have cap issues, what will they do? I don't know, have a team with a core of superstars in their prime and fill out the roster as best they can with rotating cheaper role players? Where's the problem?
