Finally got a prediction right lol

IMO these were the 2 best teams from top to bottom entering the playoffs, an easy pick if you ask me.

And yeah I’ve got the Bruins in 6

I’ve got no dog in this fight but geez the Pats win the Super Bowl, the Red Sox win the World Series and now the Bruins are in the SCF. Enough with all that winning in New England. Go Blues!

The Hogs finished 4th in the Division under JC, with a defense that ranked 22nd in the AHL that year. Then the Hawks sent down some NHL vets after the big club season was in tatters, and JC rode the vets and some hot goaltending.

JC’s only season with a winning record in his 6 years as a HC is finishing 1st in his 4th season in Sweden’s Tier 2 league.

So, 1 winning year in 6, and that inspires confidence in his coaching ability?

If Colliton was a bad choice to be coach of the Hawks, then Bowman made a mistake. Colliton can't be thrown under the bus without also throwing Stan under the bus for naming him coach. Colliton was essentially off the grid toiling in a 2nd tier Swedish league when Stan plucked him from obscurity to become the Icehogs coach. He wasn't a good ole boys club retread selection - he was the guy Stan wanted because he believed in what he knew about him.

Now, if you're a Stan hater and believe this is just another gaffe by Stan - then fine, you're being consistent - I don't agree with that sentiment but I understand how Stan haters would. I'm optimistic about Colliton because I think Stan knows what he's doing and Colliton has a good chance to prove him correct.

That is my worry also, my thinking is Stan Bowman already knows he is on the end of the line, if these guys missed the playoffs next year I got a believe he’s gone and I also have to believe that Rocky and John McDonoughwill definitely pull the plug On Colliton just after one season.

You just watch these playoffs, and these guys play hard, this is definitely a lay it all on the line type series, I am sorry but some of these candy asses that Bowman is signing as free agents from overseas this year I just don’t see it, and if this kid from the Los Angeles kings traded here was so good, why did they trade him in the first place? That’s the team that needs scoring. It’s puzzling to me .

And if you’re listening to Pete DeBoor On the post game , He just reiterated my point, yes there is room in the league for speed and skill And small guys, but it’s no coincidence that the two heaviest teams are in the finals.

The unverified story is that Kubalik didn't want to play for the Kings so he would just stay in Europe to play if they wouldn't trade him to a team he would want to play for. The fact the Hawks just signed his buddy Kahun and Kahun had a nice rookie season may have helped in Kubalik agreeing to a trade and subsequent signing with the Hawks.

I believe Stan has improved over the last year, he made some shrewd trades with some involving him to recognize a mistake and transitioning away from it with more speed than he has done in the past. It’s too soon to tell on Colliton, but early indications are positive - the vets seem to respect him, some younger players developed, and the team didn’t quit down the stretch of a disappointing season. It’s fair to be optimistic.

those guys who "had a FIGHT" in the morning are hardly what I would call Shark players, the back up goalie and a Black Ace?

Omigosh!

Those lugnuts who do the NBC comcast Chicago podcasts are simply uninformed idiots.

They already said:

a) that when the Hawks won the lottery they ALSO moved up in the slots in ALL the other rounds.

b) Byram was terrific in the Memorial Cup.

So before any of you put any weight on their noise, walk away!

If we see - and get completely frustrated by - Gus' lack of defensive prowess - why do we think that the player evaluation teams from other franchises can't / won't see it too?

In addition: looking at Gus' stats from before last season in Chicago - he never came close to averaging 1/2 point per game - either in Chicago, or in Sweden. Is a "reverting to the mean" possibly coming? Do other teams question that too?

I don't think they can get another first for Gus without additional assets going out.

- StLBravesFan

Your reverting to the mean comment is exactly why I trade him this off season. Either, A) he reverts to what he was in years past, and we don't want him, or B) he has another 50-60 point year, and we can't afford him.

You can't tell me that there isn't 1 team who will greatly overpay for a 60 point dman making 1.2M.

Whomever the Hawks take is likely a year or two away from the NHL. Development is critical. Which coach do you trust more?

Tony Granato with Turcotte?
Michael Dyck with Byram? (He’s coached him since 2015 on and off)
Kisio the younger with Cozens?

My daughter exactly that called the Orion Cooker.
I resisted and was going to return it but she guilted me and I am glad she did.

It looks like a cylinder with a donut for charcoal on the bottom and open Organ grinder's monkey hat on top fo charcoal and their is room for chips inside around the apple cider vinegar and you can string 9 racks on ribs and they fall off the bone quickly.
But it make incredible Boston Butt that I pull and make a version of BBQ similar to the place off Thattcher Woods near Kiddieland on North ave 1621 Thatcher rd), that is now out in Schaumburgish area between Alqonquin road east of the 294 (885 Algonquin Rd., Rolling Meadows,Il)

I pull it and add sautéed onion red yellow peppers and make a oil based Cole slaw, but the Salt Lick version from outside Austin Texas)with simple Kraft BBQ.

Everyone whom tries it thinks it better than any restaurant pulled pork, but mine is free so that might be why it gets complimented...
