1. being the vp of an nfl team is a full time job
2. being the vp of an nhl team is a full time job


you can't reside 1200 miles away and show up for a few photos here and there


and the mess created within the organization, was under their watch and they were blinded by it for years due to their lives, and sabres/bills being their hobbies


if you want to do a 180, fine, do it the right way, hire a duds or schoenny for the sabres and a thomas or a polian for the bills

and let the sports minded people do their job

I think most people fundamentally misunderstand what a president of a team does. She's not president of hockey/football operations. She's on the business side. The GM runs the team day-to-day.

She's the president/CEO of PS&E, which owns both teams, so she fills the same president "role" on both teams. We might as well be blaming Gregg Brandon, he's the executive VP after all.
