yes if he's to stay

I don't see the party kicking him to the curb given their success tonight

- golfingsince

Read an article this morning that there were a few individuals already lining up to challenge Poilievre for the leadership if conservatives lose.

Also just heard that Poilievre’s camp thinks they won the advance voting that hasn’t been counted yet.

What a close race today has been.

It flipped a riding to liberal in Nova Scotia by about 4K votes.

Maybe someone will take over for pollievre but I don't see it.

The Conservatives overruled the constituents in several ridings across Canada, including 2 in BC, I am sure those riding winners will give up their seat for PeePee

Personally I hope they (frank)ing implode and we can get back to a real progressive Conservative Party and these radical reform idiots form their own party.

- golfingsince

lol nope there is no point in voting anymore as clearly the west doesn't have a voice. I am now an Albertan and not a Canadian. Hopefully Smith has a plan for separation and Sask and BC can soon follow but many woke indoctrinated Trump deranged folks in lower BC. Gonna be a struggle. Folks truly aren't prepared for what awaits. But will blindly put the same government back in power after 10 years of the worst administration in the History of the Country. From here on out...Canada gets exactly what it deserves. Might need to fire up the Truckers again lol...film at 11. Cheers dude.

Tough election for 2.5 leaders, of the 5 main parties. PP, Singh and the other co-leader of the Green all lost.
Almost a complete Wipeout of the NDP, but, they badly need to refocus what they stand for, same as the Bloc.
I believe many voters lent their votes to either the Liberals, or the Conservatives, in this 1 off election.

That’s a sore loser response. There is a point in voting and this election proved that. There are some very positive results for Cons. Support for the Cons outpaced Libs by 44% to 31.2% among 18 to 34 year olds. Those are future voters and they will replace the 60 and over crowd that overwhelmingly voted Lib.

Another positive is the complete collapse of the left-wing NDP. Obviously, their politics don’t sit well with Canadians. It’s pretty impressive that the Cons picked up some NDP votes considering political views are so drastically different.

But, Canadians spoke load and clear on their dislike for PP and Jagmeet. A political party can’t win if their leaders are weak bitches. Canadians want strong leaders and the Cons and NDP just keep on pumping out losers.

As for separation won’t happen. Alberta’s biggest population centres in Calgary and Edmonton didn’t vote Con… wait for it… they voted Liberal and NDP.

Man, that’s got to make you think. Your MAGA sensibilities just don’t sit well with intelligent successful people.

I'm pretty sure I said months ago that the NDP vote would crater and the Liberals would win the election.

I'd go an backread but Lefty destroyed the thread in a temper tantrum.

- golfingsince

It wasn’t a temper tantrum. It was a smart move.

He’s a Canadian living in the US. He’s a target for deportation. The current American regime is using any excuse it can to ship out non Americans. Lefty got rid of any opinions or statements he made that could have been used against him.

That’s the new America that he loves so much.

This is so funny...

"Poilievre lost his own Ottawa-area seat of Carleton — a shocking result given he's held that riding for more than 20 years through successive political waves.

Poilievre's past support for the anti-vaccine mandate convoy that overtook Ottawa's downtown during the pandemic and his promise to cut the public service hurt his chances in the riding."

Looks like the truckers helped the Libs more than the Cons.

He's pretty arrogant and out of touch if he thought that supporting an illegal movement that tormented a part of the city for weeks would not affect his chances of re-election. Common sense would have told him that. He couldn't bring it home.

So true. I remember PP stating that Carney isn't a true leader because he wasn't an elected official. Carey was a "fake" leader. I wonder if he feels the same way now that he himself was not elected, yet vows to stay on as leader of Reform Party. Just can't make this shit up.

Maybe you should see your doctor about some anti-depressants. Can't afford them?

Thanks to Singh and Trudeau you can be subsidized.
