omfg i don’t even wanna hear it, assuming you’re a detroit fan (if not then disregard but my message remains for all other DET fans).
damn team wasn’t phased by the cap; maintained a ridiculous dynasty (or at least dynasty-esque) for years after, didn’t miss the playoffs for what was it, 20+ years or some such nonsense?
lol, i don’t dislike the bruins. (frank) the sharks and them being handed not one but two game 7’s. for as much as i dislike the blues, i’m a temporary fan of them atm. - avsgrinder
And on top of that it is the only competent sports team I have to root for. - Feds91Stammer
i assume Stevie Y as GM will expedite the rebuild a little. but better embrace the suckfest for at least a few more years cuz the future doesn’t look too bright too soon.
def some solid pieces; Larkin is awesome and someone to build around, Zadina looks to be a potential monster; Athanasiou is a solid piece.
but aging (or in some cases, completely aged) defense, no goaltending, scoring depth....tons of work to do for sure. i have no idea about their prospect pool so perhaps more young pieces in the pipes.
in any case, would love to see an Avs/Wings SCF during the current window the Avs have, dunno if that’ll be possible. suppose anything is in the new age of mega-parity!

AA is expendable. It is going to be Larkin and Veleno's team in a couple years.
wow sorry dunno where that came from hoo boy that looks bad - BINGO!
hahaha. came from your deep seeded understanding the bruins are gonna lift the cup this year & subsequent bitterness.
i’ll be just as bitter if it ends up being the SJ Sharts (not a typo) who lift it, but hopefully they continue their endless trend of choking when it matters most.

AA is expendable? i mean i know he’s not a superstar or anything, but he’s young with a ton of high-ceiling potential, no? can detroit really consider anyone expendable at this point? they need pieces literally everywhere; an entire new D corps, two new goaltenders (sure, Howard is a mediocre-y placeholder for now i guess); scoring everywhere.
you’d know better than me, obviously, but i’d imagine they’d hold onto anyone and everyone half decent for the time being.

He is the perfect sell high candidate. This past season will likely be the best of his career.

fair enough. if you guys could move him for a solid young defender, or maybe him + your 1st to move up a few spots, i suppose plenty of options there. - avsgrinder
Hronek is a stud. McIsaac has potential. Cholowski could be a 2nd pair guy.
