the canes have more than met their match in bruins and rask...

i expected the winner of the anticipated bruins/bolts 2nd round matchup to win the cup...cbj's took care of part of the scenario...

I still like the bruins to take the cup, they can handle sharks or blows....

Do you think that he will play in London again next year or Rockford?

That will allow Soupy to visit his home town some more.

Let's say the Hawks draft Byram, trade AA (for pick(s) or a prospect), acquire Frolik without giving up too much, sign Perlini, Kampf, Sikura, Forsberg, Tanev, and Kubalik to reasonable contracts.

Saad, Toews, Sikura
ADB, Strome, Kane
Kubalik, Kahun, Frolik
Caggiula, Kampf, Tanev
Perlini

Keith, Joki
Byram, Murphy
Gus, Seabs

Crow
Forsberg

PK options - Toews, Saad, Frolik, Kampf, Tanev (really helps PK).

4th line helps team D a great deal.

Frolik/Kubalik Czech Republic teammates.

Joki/Byram are green, and it may be rushing them. But you could sit them pretty often and plug in Dahlstrom. You could always add a top 4 at the TDL.

You still would have about $10 mil in cap space to trade for rentals at the TDL and then sign ADB and Strome next summer.

I am not trying to be ignorant or disrespectful here but if Stan Bowman puts that exact lineup on the ice next season he will be looking for work next May. He hast to think bigger As in a couple of quality trades or free agent signings. because I have to believe Rocky and uncle John will NOT Settle for a Nother non-playoff year next year.

Byram was held off the score sheet but his Vancouver team won to force a Game-7 (tomorrow). With Guelph winning today, that leaves the winner of tomorrow's game between Vancouver and Prince Albert as the 4th and final entrant to the Memorial Cup.

I believe adding just one player to the 3rd or 4th lines.l He must have adequate size & plus skating. Moreover be a fiesty boards player. If you want a Tanev then get rid of Perlini. We have several bottom line players soon as in within two years pushing for a job. So put any extra cap money towards a better top four dman. Would like to see Highmore for a while. And Nilsson too

They are not the same players so it's not like Tanev makes Perlini redundant.

Tanev would be a good bottom 6 player on the Hawks where Perlini could be a really solid top 9 player if he can develop consistency and defensive awareness. Like Sikura seemed to figure out last season, Perlini needs to be playing well away from the puck when he's not scoring.

If he can do that, he'll be around a while.

Why would you think Bowman would do that?

We've seen glimpses of what Perlini can be, unfortunately we have also seen how bad he can be. It's up to him to show he can be that top line dominant player and I'd much rather we find out what his capabilities can be in a Blackhawk sweater than in another sweater.

It is late but I just read through the Hockey News edition on the draft. They have two awesome articles, one about Cozens and one compaing Cozens vs Dach. After reading these plus Wiz's scouting report there is no way I pass on Cozens. If you get a chance, get this special edition of the Hockey News! It is awesome!
