That movie was literally called “Tag” and was great.

That movie was definitely one of the funnier movies that came out recently. Have you guys ever seen Movie 43? It’s older but I watched it last night. (frank)ing ridiculous.

Was that the It tag movie with all the adults playing tag? That poop was funny.
- j.boyd919

Nope. This is from the 1980’s. Kind of spy movie with a nerdy kid who get accidentally caught up a CIA thing while on vacation.

They even made ink pellet guns based on it.

Me and my buddies watched it super late at night after going out one night in college. Barely remembering but I remember dying at Jason Sudykis’ “I guess I woke up with a case of the (frank) arounds” line during the Batman sketch.

Another great movie that came out around Tag was Gamenight.

You guys need to watch “I think you should leave” on Netflix. One of the dudes from SNLs sketch shows. It’s pretty good too.

I’m really trying to think of an acceptable albatross contract the Pens could take back for JJ.

Seabrook comes to mind, but the Pens would have to move either Schultz or Gudbranson out. I wouldn’t want to swap out Schultz, but Gudbranson would be tougher to move.

I dunno. Pens just need to bite the bullet and say (frank) their buyout policy and buy the awful player out. It all comes down to what identity GMJR tries to give this team because I just don’t see any.

Oleksiak puts up more points.

If Hornqvist doesn’t rebound from last year, there really isn’t much difference with Ryan here for $1M more, and we get JJ out.

It was just a thought though.

EDIT: Bobby Ryan at full price is bad, but OTT retaining $1M and taking back JJ saves them money, makes a slight lateral move from Horn to Ryan. I mean, Ryan put up 42 points on a terrible OTT team.

Playing 3rd line RW, it isn’t inconceivable that he puts up 45 to 50 points on the Pens.

- Rinosaur

When did Oleksiak put up more points? I would put Petts closer to $2.1MM AAV than anywhere near $1MM

That’s the biggest issue, but even if they didn’t have that policy I don’t think he does it because of all the poop talk hit did about CBJ.

I completely disagree with your entire analysis.

Glendenig is nothing like Rust. He’s far worse and much slower.

Bobby Ryan is even slower than Hornqvist and skates like he’s got cement in his Tuuks.

Anisimov is okay and I’m okay with acquiring him although I don’t think he’s fantastic or even necessary with Bjugstad as 3C. And I’m fine with moving Horny for him as I think Horny is meh.

I think overall you just made the Pens forward group far slower than they were and the only positives were removing JJ and adding Anisimov but I don’t think this roster is better or worse than last years. I think it’s essentially a wash with the anchors you’ve acquired on forward.

Damn, j! Haven't you been reading? This is the best defense ever! Paul Coffey and Larry Murphy eat your hearts out because JJ is here and here to stay!

Marcus Pettersson has pretty decent fancy stats. He faced weaker competition than any other defender aside from Kola and had more offensive deployment than anyone outside of Tanger, Dumo, and JJ but he utilized everything to play at the level of a top 4 defender (per dobbersports). Apparently he was paired most with JJ, then Guds, and then Ruhwedel. I don’t see any documented passing stats for him yet but he sure looks good enough to be in our top 4. I would say he’s our fourth best guy back there anyways. In an interview with Mackey, GMJR commit to re-signing him. RW said in December he thought we were bringing him in to make Maatta expendable. I hope we can squeeze 3 years outta this guy in the low 2’s, my guess is he only signs for 2

So I guess part of me wouldn’t be completely unhappy seeing Jumbo get a cup, he always played a mans game and seems to be one hell of a guy. Same note I’m loving St Louis and a guy I said we should get in Patty Maroon. Rooting for the Canes just because of Marchand but the Canes are about as bland and Vanilla as you can get. Softer than Baby poop and I’m guessing the Bruins run right over them. I’m going for St Louis I guess.

Hornqvist scored assisted by Pettersson at game 1 of the WHC. Hornqvist spent quite a bit of time on the third line. He might welcome a trade to Vancouver to play with his fellow countrymen with a chance to flank Elias and help Vancouver’s woeful power play

You only think the Canes are bland because they don't just run over people the way you like.

I do want to see Joe get his cup. Unfortunately sports is not about deserving, but I think he deserves it.

They have to do gimmicks after they win because their players are so god awful boring.

Typically, I enjoy the rougher side of hockey. I also appreciate speed and skill and absolutely love when a player possesses both attributes. However, the only time I'm bored when watching hockey is when they play NJ style trap hockey. Those games make me want to smash my TV. These Canes are fun to watch.

I’m ok with the NJD style of trap hockey because it still takes skill to take angles and attack with a pack mentality. What I don’t like watching are the good teams who cave in late in games when they have the lead and they constantly just flip pucks out

Not me man. Some of the most dreadful games I've ever attended were against NJ. I don't mind the occasional strategy shift if necessary, but I'd never regularly pay to watch a team do that on a nightly basis.
