while I would not want to give up a blue chip, the leafs are going to want a top prospect who is still on his ELC for a few years. They can kick the can down the road a bit. Unless, it becomes a must move but I have to believe someone will trade for Nylander and pay well to do it.

I think you’re right. Right now I think the Flyers should be OK if they offered a first and one of Frost or Farabee. I’m not saying I would do this or we should do this. I’m saying the Flyers should be okay if they did do this.

Jury is still out on that imo, and I give the early edge to Provy. Werenski plays with Seth Jones and Provy is our Seth Jones (not saying he is as good). Werenski could not handle Provy's situation as the top dog.

They still got a top-pair dman out of it, not sure how you could call it a miss.

Is Werenski likely better than Provorov at the end of the day? Yeah. It was a safe pick. Werenski was the home run swing. Just because he's working out for the Jackets doesn't mean it was a mistake to take Provorov (with Ghost and Sanheim already in hand).

Provorov has had to carry a very heavy burden for this team since he broke into the league at 19. If he had more support it would've been easier for him. I have zero doubt that the biggest cause of his struggles last season was due to the weight of that burden catching up to him.
