No idea how Lappy keeps surviving. Strong doubts with Therien’s rah rah approach that I feel is outdated in today’s game, and on a team with many young players.

Yeo might be a decent assistant but he’s poop as an HC.

I’d have had zero issues with them chasing an “inexperienced” guy for the assistant role with AV already on board. Names? Only ones I could throw out would have been the often mentioned Keefe, or Groulx - guys who very well may not want to come anyway.

When the day comes that Av is fired. The internal candidates to replace are Lappy, Gordon, Yeo and Therien. That’s (frank)ing hilarious.

They have 3 experienced coaches who all seem to know each other or have worked with one another to a degree. I see that as a good thing. I somewhat agree with your remarks about Therrien. But lets see how things play out. In the end, that's all we can do.

Ill agree on the Lappy point. To me its the "naked pictures" adage. For a guy to be coaching a PK that has been in the bottom 3/4 of the league for 4 seasons now keeping his job is frankly ridiculous.

I have no problem with the other hires.

except the PK was the only bright spot down the stretch, LOL. I do think Lappy has 9 lives, two of those lives were the Flyers had a patch work D in 2017 and a super young D in 2018. I do believe he is on his last life

I'm sorry I just don't agree with your assessment.

I see Bill question the Flyers plenty but what I see him doing more than anything else is giving his honest thoughts on the team. Sometimes that seems positive and other times it seems negative which is what I want to read as a consumer of his content.

I wouldn't want to read someone that is a cheerleader for the Flyers just like I wouldn't want to read someone that is trying out for Team Negative.

It’s pretty clear, from these hirings, that Fletcher feels that the lack of experienced NHL coaching was a real issue here!

AV: I’m fine with it, he’s been pretty successful and he’s a major upgrade over what we’ve had for the last half decade

Therrien: If AV is ok with him than I guess I’ll just wait and see. Would not of been my first choice

Yeo: has a pretty good track record as an assistant, some guys just arent cut out for the top job but are great assistants. I’m fine with the hire

Lappy: Unless he was just kept to be a developmental guy and a positive voice in the room, than I just don’t get it.

Dilly: if Hart was happy working with him, than that’s all that really matters. I have to assume he was.
