I’d prefer Caufield.
- DarthKane

Sorry Darth but dont see hawks drafting him when there are 3 centers and hawks need center depth plus hawks already have undersized scorer in dcat drafting Caulfield would be a luxery.

Watching the Star/Blues game and I'd say the Stars are lucky the Blues aren't leading.
The Stars passing is atrocious tonight - both making the pass and receiving the pass. Bobbles galore. They look like the Hawks on one of their bad passing nights.

Anyone remember Wisconsin Gold Label or Red, White, and Blue beer from the late 60's ?? They were both terrible, but really cheap. Six pack for a buck back then. lol

Ah, to be that age again.

Huber, Rhinelander, Drewreys, Micky's Malt. If it was cheap it was more drinkable.

That too. We used to do the cost per ounce math. If someone had a tank of gas we'd go out to DeKalb for some Oly. That was a big night.

The biggest hassle is you can only get them in Wisconsin.

If I’m drinking New Glarus, Moon Man is my go to, but there’s so many good beers out there right now. Noon Whistle, Tighthead, Maplewood, Pipe Works are some of my favorite breweries. Lots of love out there for Zombie Dust, but that’s another one that is highly overrated IMO...it’s good, but not as good as the hype, and not even my favorite from Three Floyd’s.

The Hawks had both Doug Wilson and Chris Chelios at the same time for one season ... It would have been 1990-91 season
- SC116

Ducks had Niedermayer and Pronger too. Detroit had Coffey and Chelios I think also

We’d go up to Highwood - a couple of places there weren’t too particular about how old you were - or across the state line into Kenosha.

Why would we bring in Hitchcock?

The last two teams he coached (Blues and Stars) are both better teams now that he’s no longer behind the bench.

He’s been let go after one year twice now in the last two years.

People need to stop clamoring for all these retreads that have haven’t accomplished anything since smart phones became a thing.

Colliton wasn’t even given a full season yet. I’m all for getting some sort of experience to pair with our young coach, but not with the intent of them having to look over their shoulder with the possibility of them being there to replace him.

Rod Brind’Amour - first year in the NHL
Jim Montgomery - first year in the NHL
Craig Berube - interim coach who only had 2 previous seasons coaching
Bruce Cassidy - second full season coaching the Bruins
Jared Bednar - third season coaching the Avs

Meanwhile Barry Trotz and John Tortorella, two of the most seasoned coaches in the league just saw their teams exit, and Peter DeBore’s team could be next.

The game is becoming faster and teams are adapting. An influx of new minds is what is needed to keep up with the league trends. Guys like McClellan, Vigneault, Ruff, Boudreau, etc. that continuously get hired because of their experience hardly ever work out.

I’m glad Stan went outside the box with the Colliton hire because I see the creativity that he brings to the table, and I’m confident he’ll be able to cater to the team’s current skill set. Give him a full offseason to implement some sort of plan and have the team become comfortable with it.

Let’s give it another year at the minimum before we start raising pitchforks.

Fair enough...... Hopefully they set him up with assistants that had prior NHL coaching experience .

Turcotte and family want him start on a degree.

It is part of Turcotte's development; except for the top two guys all these guys are kids, and all need time strength and need to get more refined.
college gives Turcotte bigger men to play against and a higher compete level, just like when so many thought Toews was gonna come right in, but went to North Dakota.

Those 3 - 9 picks will all have a chance to be impact NHL forwards but slower is better than an NHL early introduction that becomes an overload.

In one name (or two)
Nolan Patrick (dub)
Nico Hirscher (Q)

Sure, bring em up let em play, but it sometimes is better to let them taste and then see what they need and go somewhere and ADD those tools to be impact guys eventually.

Don't rush these kids.

- wiz1901

I see what your saying but I’m even more adamant that we don’t draft Turcotte because of the footage I saw of him against Dubuque. Sure he scored but man did he get bounced off of pucks. He would try to push the play and his small frame just got manhandled at least a half a dozen times. Not to mention when tried to cut to the net from the right wing he gets pushed to the back of the net leaving him with only one play and that is a pass to the front of the net which never connected in that game.

I watched Cozens doing the same plays and wow what a difference. His power frame and his skating are worlds apart from Turcotte. Cozens dictates the play he wants to go to th net, he goes to the net and defensemen have a hard time stopping him. On one play he even smashed the goalie and puck into the net. Outstanding and that’s what’s missing on the CBH.
