In a cap league, never, ever pay a goalie that kind of money, unless he's indisputably a top 10 all-time goalie. Even then, probably don't do it. The margin for goalies is smaller than elite d men and forwards, and that position is more prone to flukes and bad games than any other. You don't need an elite goalie, you need a goalie to get hot at the right time

no it didn't...it made the payouts substantially higher...a 65/1 longshot was atop the exacta, trifecta, perfecta and whatever 'ecta' there is in horse racing...the DQ'd horse was 9/2
