he was fine, it was 2-1 Blues in 3rd period where he took a hard shot on the collarbone from the point and went down like bricks, while he was on the ice the Blues scored, I thought they should have blown whistle, but I am also rooting for Dallas. - jimbro83
guess if it's not a head shot, they won't blow the whistle until Stars touch the puck... |

why would anyone want the Rangers to acquire a guy with two years on his deal before becoming UFA?
Those are the guys we are trying to deal away - jimbro83

I think he was hurting too bad to even think about it
just a bad break, I know you can't set the precedent of a goalie acting hurt just to stop play whenever things are rough |

Flyers hire Michel Therrien to be assistant on Alain Vigneault’s staff
this makes sense, remember all their gamesmanship in the Rangers-Habs conference final in 2014?

I thought they should have disallowed the goal since he was down and out. |

HENRIK LUNDQVIST ON HIS FUTURE WITH THE RANGERS
May 6, 2019 Adam Rotter
In an interview with Expressen Sweden, Henrik Lundqvist said the following about his future with the Rangers:
“I don’t know if I will stay in Rangers throughout my career. I have two years left on the contract and it has always been my goal to remain in Rangers. But when you get up in the years you never know. I have my own agenda, but if the club wants something else, I have to be sensitive to it. You can’t just run your own race. It’s not always the dream is realistic, we’ll see how it gets. Now I focus everything on the World Cup.” (Expressen)
Lundqvist said that this past season was “very different” than his previous ones with the Rangers and that the losses during the second half of the season took a toll on him mentally. (Expressen) |

If you think about it, we missed the playoffs in 2010 on a shootout, but until this stretch, he's only known decent to various level of good teams here. He's never had to be a part of any dark years so to speak. This must be very different for him.
I actually think he should wave his NTC to go to the Devils if I was him. He loves the city and while the commute from the city to Newark isn't a picnic but any stretch, he wouldn't have to up and leave either. They have plenty of cap space and could buy out Schneider. Hank wouldn't have to uproot and move somewhere else.
Maybe the Devils wouldn't even consider a move like this, but I think this would give Hank a shot at being the starter and with Hall back, I think they are a playoff team next year. It would suck having to play him 7 times a year though.

whether they trade him or not
I dont think Lundqvist will want to retire in 2021 and I dont think the Rangers will re-sign him
so he'll play for someone else eventually

After the quote Jimbo posted I think there’s now at least a glimmer of hope in moving Lundqvist’s contract, but there is no way in hell I see him being moved to a division rival. |
