Once again you show how moronic you are. You have no idea about any of these players diet workout habits or injuries.
- GPHawksfan

So can you enlighten us?

I have no clue about diet and workouts......there is reports of such on this site but hardly able to follow this ..
It is not a burning desire fans are curious to know.

Re:Seabrook diminishing value.

I am going to be really surprised if Seabrook makes more than a slight increase in better performance. The great unknown is whether there are injury issues players play with. Seabrook never had great skating form and as a big guy his skating maybe as he gets older and he looses his ability incrementally to skate well enough.....it [skating] gets bad enough it becomes an issue which affects his playing time. I know Larry Murphy was the king of playing the angles in all situations defending. But even if becoming good at angles in the skating process is achieved, Seabrook has a lot of mileage and perhaps he feels it more than other players. That is just the way it is.

I ran into a drunk guy on the train a few weeks ago coming back from the BOS/TOR game who claimed he knew Mike Kitchen. He said Kitch was "for sure" heading to FLA to join Joel.

I didn't want to relay that information on ... well ... mostly because he was drunk.

Guess I should have trusted that "source".

I’m drunk right now.... the Hawks are drafting Cole Caufield.

Kaner makes Forbes. Talks about his new training guru and how focusing on different aspects of conditioning helped him have the year he did.

“Our mission was to make him from Tin Man to Rubberband Man, is what we were saying last summer,” Mack added. “We wanted to make sure he was a little more elastic or what we call bow-and-arrow-like. The further you can pull the bow back, you should be able to shoot it further. That was our focus as opposed to — normally, the focus is, ‘Give this guy a bigger arrow, or more cylinders in his car.[...]Pat Kane has a V12, I promise you. It’s just that he was only playing on six of those cylinders.”

“Intellectually, he’s one of the smartest athletes I’ve ever worked with, for sure. His processing speed is amazing. Obviously, his hands and his fine motor skills are great.”

Wonder if Hawks trainer might change tactics with DeBrincat a little this summer. Focus more on agility than bulk.

But are you on a train?

If the Hawks draft Caufield, who do they get in FA/trade to round out the Lollipop Guild Line with him and Dcat?

They would be great in the non check (usually) exhibition season in the.games they suit up!

You know it is getting to be a headache trying to figure out whom to draft at #3. Each player seems to have a weak part or weakness as per reports. Turcotte is a safe pick but he is just a tad below in the second tier of prospects. The way to go is to take a fiesty forward..But Cozens not always aggressive? Dach his skating. The dmen are they really top pair ceiling? And beside how do you fit in and with a quality veteran when they are ready. So dman no.. Hughes is good but we need size not another smurf especially when if playoffs come.i would gamble on Pod the Russian but not at #3. Hope to draft Kakko or hope a Cozens turns out good?

I really believe that we have very good candidates for bottom two lines/spotting so really be nice if we draft a fiesty gritty but skill forward at #3.

Alex Gravel will partake in the four team round.robin Memorial Cup which begins May 17.

Just a thought.....his strong showing could influence whether Bowman tries.to draft a goaltender early or waits until a later round to add another netminder.

I trust AEL_FOX will keep us abreast whether Gravel shines or not. I didn't know gravel could shine but he plays well then Gravel shines after all!

Thanks for passing along this article. Seabrook is the first guy who comes to mind who desperately needs this program.

He's too tall and Zuke probably has too much redass...so Grimaldi might be the guy.

Excellent read. I had always put allot of stock in the behaviour and how mature a young player was. But we saw with the Hawks how that played out. The mature, eloquent and educated Jonathan Toews vs. the immature, brash Patrick Kane. At the end of the day it's their on ice exploits are what tells us about them as hockey players.

I'll have to look him up, but does he routinely get turned away from rides at Cedar Point, Disney, etc.?

If so, then, git 'er done Blowman!

Not one (frank)ing line in there about the "lavender sniffer" test..... What kind of scouts are these?

TC - here is Stan's take on BPA at #3 per The Athletic article today after being asked about the possibility of taking Bynam:

When you’re drafting third, you have to draft the player you think is the best player and you like the most. You can’t be dismissive of it because he is a forward or a winger or center or defenseman. Hopefully we’re never picking third again. We’re going to be here and we have to get the guy who is going to be the best player.

Agreed, he might go #1 if he was already on NA ice, but I'm also not that high on Hughes like seemingly everyone else.

I was kind of hoping for Nils Hoglander in the second round.
